The September 24th recipient for PBIS positive behavior is Amay Espinoza. Please stop by the office for your choice of discount card to either Circle K, Dairy Queen, Hardees, or Subway.

FBLA members, don’t forget your dues and sign up sheets are due THIS THURSDAY (September 27th) to Miss Jacquot or Mrs. Holtsclaw. There will be an election meeting this Thursday during 8th hour in Miss Jacquot’s room. You must have your dues and sign up sheets turned in to vote. If anyone would like to be added to the nominations, please tell Miss Jacquot or Mrs. Holtsclaw ASAP.

There will be drama club meeting on TODAY during 8th period. We will be electing officers and discussing the winter theatre. Plan on attending.

Key club dues of $15 need to been turned in by this Friday to Mrs. Latherow or Mrs. Morrison. Next Key club meeting will be Oct. 3

If you didn’t get your school pictures or your Student ID please come to the office. International Club t-shirt orders and $12.50 are due to Ms. Johnson by Friday.

Anyone who ordered a shirt from Sports Boosters that has not received it yet, please check in the front office to see if we have it.

We are looking for 2 community members who have fought or are currently fighting a battle with Breast Cancer to be present at the game on Friday, September 28th in Orion to go out on the field with their family for the coin toss during the JV game & also one person for the Varsity game. If you are interested, please contact Dawn Hellyer at 217-357-2136 opt 3, opt 3.

Dallas City Elementary School has open paid and volunteer work opportunities for their after-school program. Hours run after school until 5:30. Schedules can be set up on an everyday or rotating basis. If you are interested, please see Mr. Bliss for details.

There will be Picture Retakes on Thursday October, 18.

Seniors: College representatives are starting to visit Illini West HS in the next few weeks to meet with those seniors who are interested in possibly attending their university/college. Colleges here this week to visit with interested seniors are:

Monday Sept. 24 Quincy U. 3rd Hour Tuesday Sept. 25 Monmouth College 9:30 a.m. Wed. Sept. 26 Culver-Stockton College 1st Hour Thursday Sept. 27 Hannibal La-Grange U. 8th Hour

Attention Seniors…the first two scholarship opportunities for the graduating class of 2013 are available on our website. Go to www.illiniwest.org and click on the “Parents & Students” tab to access scholarships. Please check this site often as scholarships are added on a weekly basis. Any questions please see Mr. Bliss or Mr. Dion.

Senior girls with a GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply for the P.E.O. STAR Scholarship. For application details, please see Mr. Bliss.

A Marines recruiter will be visiting IW on Tuesday, September 25th. If you would like to talk with the recruiter, please see Mrs. Shirey.

ILLINI WEST CHARGER SPORTS RESULTS:

The Illini West JV volleyball team defeated the Titans 25-13 & 25-17. Marlie Burt had 5 kills and 7 aces. Aubrie Carlisle had 9 kills and Zoey Hartrick had 17 assist. Thanks for promoting our team.
