• The University of Sao Paulo (USP) will house Brazil’s first RoboHcs Center. It will be located in São Carlos -‐ SP.
• The building, covering 3,000m², will accommodate professionals and students from the
– Engineering School of São Carlos and
– InsHtute of MathemaHcs and Computer Science.
• Researchers are engaged in the soluHon of problems through roboHcs. ApplicaHon areas are:
– RehabilitaHon of the upper and lower limbs related to stroke and traumaHc injuries, – Precision agriculture
– ExploraHon of oil reserves discovered in the surrounding ocean in recent years;
• The creaHon of the Centre of RoboHcs will increase the number of projects developed by researchers and is expected to generate greater interacHon with industry, hence increasing the efficient use of resources which are parHcularly expensive in mechatronic systems.
