Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby approve the appointment of Dr. Joann Schulte as Designee Health Authority to serve during the absence of the Health Authority, during the term of April 21, 2022, and authorize the County Judge to sign the Statement of Appointment for this cause.

The Texas Health and Safety Code 121.028 set forth the requirement for the appointment of a County Health Authority. Texas Health and Safety Code 121.029 authorizes the Health Authority to delegate the power or duty of the Health Authority to a properly qualified physician to act while the Health Authority is absent or incapacitated, for the same or shorter term as the Health Authority.

Dallas County Health and Human Services recommends Dr. Joann Schulte, Deputy Health Authority, for appointment as designee Health Authority, effective April 21, 2020 through April 21, 2022. Dr. Schulte will serve as Health Authority during the absence of Dr/. ~
