outreach training program

The OSHA #500, #501,

#5400 and #5600 are part

of the Occupational Safety

and Health Administration

Outreach Training Program.

Completion of these courses authorizes individuals as an

Outreach Trainer. Authorized Outreach Trainers deliver 10- and

30-hour outreach classes to workers in construction, general industry,

maritime, and 15-hour classes for disaster site workers.

The Outreach Training Portal is a web-based application designed

with our trainers in mind to provide a more efficient and reliable

method of requesting Outreach cards.

The United States Department of Labor OSHA Outreach Training

Program provides training for workers and employers on the

recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety

and health hazards in workplaces. The program also provides

information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities,

and how to file a complaint. This is a voluntary program and does

not meet training requirements for any OSHA standards.

For more information about the Outreach Training Program or on

using the Outreach Portal, contact our office at (866) 906-9190 or
