ICS / IMX / IPX to Another Source

FTI-288/TI-288 ISSUE 1 September 30, 2003

Field Service Engineering Department

This technical information provides for basic data assignment that is required to make a connection to another source. A connection between a NEC ( ICS / IMX IPX ) to another NEC ( ICS / IMX / IPX ) will be described as an example.

1. Condition

1.1 You do not need any specific application software to operate E1 connection. 1.2 Note the following is a very basic example.

1.3 The following settings are for A-law Codec countries. ( SYS-1, Index-64, Bit-0 = 1 (A-Law) )

1.4 Note the LENS location of PA-30DTS may not be suitable on some PIMs (PIME etc.) please adjust accordingly.

2. System Configuration

NEAX7400 ICS

NEAX7400 ICS (IMX) NEAX2400 IPX

NEAX7400 ICS

NEAX7400 ICS (IMX) NEAX2400 IPX Call 9-XXXX PA-30DTS DTI PBX 2 PBX 1 DTI PA-30DTS Extension XXXX

* The data assignment is just example under the following condition. PBX 1 DTI: PA-30DTS < Slot 4 at PIM0 > Route: RT 30 PBX 2 DTI: PA-30DTS < Slot 4 at PIM0 > Route: RT 30

Note: Above Route numbers do not necessarily have to be the same nor do the have to be in the same slot location.

Tenant No.: 1 Access Code: 9
