Learner Profile - Student Blog – Business & Management SL

Open-minded

“This course allowed me to develop the open-minded trait. At my normal school there isn’t any opportunity to talk to someone from Europe or a different country, let alone to do an assignment with them. It helped me to open my mind and to realize that there is more out there than just a little town in Michigan, and everyone worldwide is probably not going to agree because there are different cultures everywhere….This course

helped these traits to grow because you are constantly interacting with other students from other countries and when you have to get an

Principled

“The Pamoja course in Business & Management SL has taught me to be principled. Every week, I have to set aside time to work with the homework on the online course, in addition to all my courses and

work at my school. When I am stressed with school work, it is easy to fall behind on Pamoja, and “forget” about all the responsibilities and how committed I am to the course. Once you have fallen in this trap, it takes a lot of work to catch up and carry through with the work. Therefore, I have learnt that by being disciplined and principled

enough to take the time every week, it makes it easier for me in the long run.…I know that this skill is something which is vital to carry with me once I go to university and once I start working, and it prepares me for situations in real life.”
