Sure, you’ve got spreadsheets with scattered data that takes your valuable time to read and analyze, but wouldn’t it be great to have all of the information in one, easy-to-read place?

Of course it would, and the newest addition to UPS Logistics Technologies’ product line up, Roadnet Performance Dashboard, does just that, providing all of your transportation information with just a few mouse clicks in a Web-based application.

What is a Dashboard?

Dashboards have become the standard in viewing business information. Picture the information your car’s dashboard gives you—speed, engine temperature, miles driven, even directions! Imagine being able to see the same kinds of crucial information about your business on one screen.

This is exactly what the Roadnet Performance Dashboard provides— the opportunity to view, from a transportation perspective, all of your operations’ most critical information using easy-to-understand visual indicators such as charts, graphs and gauges.

Using the fully customizable dashboard, you can see one day, one year or seven years worth of data. In addition, the data elements available for reporting are critical for your operations. For example, just some of the elements you can track include:

• Miles to date • Routes year to date • Missed time windows • Total number of orders

Because the Roadnet Performance Dashboard is equipped with several pre-defined dashboards, as well as powerful tools to create your own custom views of the data using any of the available 85 different data elements, you can start measuring your operations against your company’s missions, goals and priorities immediately to determine the efforts needed to maximize your performance.

The Value of Roadnet Performance Dashboard

Simply put, the Roadnet Performance Dashboard immediately adds value to your operations. Being able to customize reporting specific to your organization, monitor key metrics in a single view and instantly transform raw data into interactive and intuitive reports provides you with the kind of information that currently can take days to put together and analyze. Other value-added functions of Roadnet Performance Dashboard include the ability to: • Quickly access to transportation

data without entering Roadnet or MobileCast • Compare and rate regions • View plan, actual or actual vs. plan data • Track trends on multiple levels • Display data on routes, stops, exceptions, etc.

The extreme ease with which you can set up and use the Roadnet Performance Dashboard in no way minimizes the depth of information available to you. In fact, the transportation intelligence available through the dashboards is more comprehensive and thorough than you could achieve with dozens of spreadsheets.

How Does Roadnet Performance Dashboard Work?

The application gathers data from the Route History Database and then, through a set of dashboard tools, allows you to display and analyze all of the different data elements. If you are not currently using the Route History Database, don’t worry! We have created tools to populate this database to ensure you’re up and running quickly.

Roadnet Performance Dashboard gives you the opportunity to create customized dashboards that work for your business model. For example, the Stops dashboard featured below shows at a glance your Year-to-Date and Daily information for stops made.

Because the Roadnet Performance Dashboard is equipped with several pre-defined dashboards,

Why Do I Need Roadnet Performance Dashboard?

Dashboards are rapidly becoming the preferred way that business professionals view and analyze information about the performance of their business and the activities they manage. In a nutshell, performance dashboards let busy executives, managers, and staff view the progress of key business metrics at a glance and then move swiftly through successive layers of actionable information in a carefully guided manner, so they get the insight they need to solve problems quickly, efficiently, and effectively. By helping business people keep a pulse on their operation and chart progress towards meeting strategic and tactical objectives, performance dashboards are becoming powerful agents of organizational change. Roadnet Performance Dashboard is a best-in-breed product. UPS Logistics Technologies created the dashboard to maximize the user experience, and succeeded in offering a comprehensive method to provide information on your critical business processes and results.

Compare, rank and contrast different regions to see how each are performing against each other. This example compares three regions by total distance, distance per day, stop and distance unit.

Roadnet Performace Dashboard gives you the opportunity to report on plan, actual or actual versus planned data. Use actual versus projected data to quickly spot performance trends such as increased service time over planned.
