Dear Potential Donor,
Following on from our even more successful second year of operations, we are now planning our third year of operations. A4C is looking to our valued donors who generously contributed in 2012 as well as potential new donors and we want you to become part of this!
We are now supporting almost 500 children both in the developed world as well in the Netherlands thanks to the contribution of the Dutch Alternatives Community (we aim to support each project for at least 3 years).
- Edelweiss school in Bangalore (pre-school for 100 children)
- Scarab Community in Mauritania (schooling, food and shelter for 60 children)
- Day for Change in The Netherlands (financial and entrepreneurial education for children from underprivileged area of the Netherlands)
- Kamitei in Tanzania (scholarships for the length of vocational training or secondary education)
- Tiny Miracles in Mumbai (sending 60 children to school and homework support)
By becoming a part of this community, you help us to make a difference! By raising money we were also able to demonstrate that the Alternatives Community in the Netherlands can be seen as a force for good, helping society and generating a positive image for the industry.
We would like to remind you that the Alternatives 4 Children team members are all professionals and volunteering their time and energy. As a result, the foundation has less than 2% operating costs so far as we currently do not incur any major overheads (except the cost of the events, which we manage to negotiate discounted rates on) so that the majority of your donation can go to the projects.
We will organize at least 2 events in 2013
- A Spring Party on Thursday May 30th, Supperclub Cruise in Amsterdam, a networking event with drinks and barbeque. Over the last 3 years, this event has been attended by 120+ professionals of the industry each year.
- A formal Gala Dinner, On Thursday October 3rd, at the Grand Hotel in Amsterdam. This event was attended by more than 150 + participants and was sold out the last 2 years. Please note that prices are exclusive of Dutch BTW (VAT), which will be included in the final invoice we send to you. We wish to confirm your contribution by 31st March 2013 in order to be able to
include you in our communications as well as plan our budgets accordingly. For a full overview of the donation possibilities please see the next few pages.
In addition, you might be interested in making some other form of donation . Examples of this include: you might have a holiday home, a certain service, too many air miles, or flight tickets, or even a corporate invitation to a major event etc. It could involve you buying our Xmas cards or making us your corporate charity. Be creative and talk to us on these ideas!
