*Barbara  Jessing  (Exceptional  Expertise)  has  a  Bachelor  of  Arts  in  Psychology  from  the  University  of  California  at  Berkeley  (1972)  and  a  Master  of   Science  in

Counseling  and  Guidance  froth  University  of  Nebraska  at  Omaha  (1976).   She  earned  a  certificate  in  Marriage  and  Family  Therapy  in  1989   from  the  Karl   Menninger  School  of  Psychiatry.   She  holds  licensure  as  Mental  Health  Practitioner  and  has  served  as  the  Clinical  Director  of  Heartland   Family  Services  since   1997.   She  has  been  an  adjunct  instructor  at  UNO  since  2000  teaching  a  course  in  child  abuse  and  neglect.  

*Joel  Bauch  (Exceptional  Expertise)  has  a  BS  in  Recreation  &  Parks  Administration  and  an  MA  in  Recreation  Administration  with  an  emphasis  in  Therapeutic

Recreation.  He  has  been  the  Assistant  Director  for  Outdoor  Programs  at  UNO  for  the  past  19  years  and  has  led  numerous  technical  trips   and  workshops   (backpacking,  rock  climbing,  paddling,  cross  country  skiing,  first  aid,  land  navigation,  leadership,  and  search  &  rescue).  He  holds  numerous  certifications   including  NIRSA  level  1  &  2,  CPR  for  the  Professional  Rescuer  &  Basic  First  Aid  Instructor,  &  ARC  Outdoor  Emergency  Care  Instructor  and  Senior  Level  Trainer.
