The mission of Tigers International, Office of International Programs, is to help students, the University, and the UWA community prepare for a culturally diverse and competitive global society. The internationalization of UWA focuses on the well-being of the University's international community by engaging in the
enhancement of diversity, international cooperation, and understanding among UWA students, faculty, staff, and the broader community.

Action Plan
UWA Tigers International, Office of International Programs will recruit degree-seeking
international students through International recruitment fairs, ISAS partnership, create new online partnerships, community college recruitment, potential recruiting agents/agencies, and other recruitment efforts in high schools and 2-year colleges around the world in order to reach the 10% mark for international student population at UWA.

FINDINGS Beginning in the 2019 school year, UWA was at 6.5% and started the 2020 school
year with 5.6%.
RECOMMENDATIONS UWA is dealing with increased issues with Chinese visas and also still dealing with
the loss of the Saudi students. Both are national issues. The COVID-19 situation also impacted travel. UWA is working to keep international students safe and enrolled, either online or on campus until travel resumes to normal levels.

FINDINGS Office offered over twenty international events on campus. COIVD-19 reduced the
number of spring and summer events, but the office was still able to meet set targets.
RECOMMENDATIONS COVIC-19 reduced the activities the office would normally hold during the spring
and summer of 2020.
