• Day Camp Otter

For more than 100 years, our resident camps, located on Winnipesaukee’s Bear Island, have been providing an enriching, fun, and safe experience for youth from 8 to 16 year old. The girls and boys choose their own schedules from a wide range of athletic, creative, and instructional activities.

Our travel camps create opportunities for campers ages 10 to 14, to get involved in a particular activity that is of interest to them. Each of the weeks will involve

themed-day trips that are fun, challenging, and adventure-filled learning experiences.

Day Camp Otter, located on Captain’s Pond in Salem NH, is a scenic, daytime get-away for boys and girls, ages 6 to 13. Along with the weekly themes, Otter days are filled with all-camp activities and includes daily transportation throughout the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.

Family Camp is the perfect blend of organized, structured activities and time to do whatever it is you want. Throughout the day you can decide if you want to go fishing, hiking, sailing, swimming, waterskiing, do arts and crafts, conquer the ropes course, and more.

SMALL STEPS

The YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program is a community-based lifestyle

improvement program for adults with pre-diabetes. Its purpose is to

empower adults with lasting lifestyle changes that will improve their

overall health and reduce their chance of developing Type II diabetes.

Currently, diabetes affects nearly 26 million people. Another 79 million

have pre-diabetes and are at risk of developing diabetes.

Research by the National Institute of Health has shown that programs

like the YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program reduce the number of new
