CLUB GOLF D’ARO – MAS NOU

Located in the town of Platja d'Aro (Girona), it is one of the oldest golf courses on the Costa Brava. It is unique thanks to its location as it is within the Natural Park Gavarres more than 300m above sea level with stunning panoramic views of the Costa Brava.

It opened in 1990 and was designed by architect Ramón Espinosa. The course is a spectacular championship course with 18 holes, par 72. The first nine holes have a slightly undulating surface and the next nine holes are on uneven terrain, and the game provides more technicality. Along its route there

are pines and oaks, over a thousand olive trees and two large lakes 2600m, also help that the field has a special charm, together with the native fauna to be highlighted.

Club Golf d'Aro has been created for an ambitious player, lover of challenges, especially low and mixed handicap, but is also suitable for less experienced golfers. The outputs for professional skills tested and refined technique of the most experienced golfers. And from the outlets for amateur long distances are shortened to promote the game to beginners. In short, this is an affordable tour and not too aggressive with a soft, water hazards, but with bunkers definitely involved in the game rough, and large greens, not too severe or critical to the fate of putt ripples.

LA VINYETA WINERY

La Vinyeta is one of the youngest and most dynamic DO Empordà projects. Its owners, Josep and Marta, are two young entrepreneurs who set up the business in 2002 with just 4 hectares of old vines located in Mollet de Peralada. Starting with these vine stocks, and with the know-how of the previous owner, they planted additional vineyards. In 2006 they built the cellar and began to produce their first bottles. In the space of just a few years, La Vinyeta has received numerous plaudits and has earned the appreciation of many visitors, drawn to the winery by a very personal service.
