Router setup

Important! Remove the devices and cables you have been using up until now(in order to always use the latest technology):

Unplug all the wireline telephone devices in your home.3.
What do your telephone sockets look like - a) b) c) or d)?Important! a) b) c) For every telephone socket you wish to use in your home you
must plug in a new microfilter. Two microfilters are included. You can purchase additional microfilters and adapters in your Swisscom Shop.
d) For this socket you don’t need a microfilter.
Your splitter and the illustrated socket have the same function for all the telephone sockets in your home.

Connect your new router as shown in the overview illustration (p. 12–13) with:4.1 Telephone socket: New microfilter with
DSL cable (purple connectors) telephone (optional)

Switch your router on. Wait until the following white light appears on the router:Set up Internet and/or WLAN
If the Internet is already set up, WLAN only will be set up automatically.

Important! You cannot set up your Internet until the activation date.You will then receive an SMS reminder. Your Internet will only work if you perform all the following steps.

Check if the WLAN button is lit. If it’s not, press the WLAN button or follow the help instructions on page 11.8.
Plug the Internet setup key into a USB port on your computer.9.
If the installation assistant does not start automatically, click on the CD drive named “Swisscom CD”.Windows XP: Start > My Computer > Swisscom CD Drive > Start
Windows 7 / Vista: > Computer > Swisscom CD Drive > Start
Mac OSX: Swisscom CD > Start

You can now surf the web through the WLAN. To connect additional computers to the Internet, repeat points 7–9 on those computers.11.

Dépannage
Le routeur n’est pas prêt:
(Power ne s’allume pas)
> La prise est-elle branchée correctement? > Le routeur est-il allumé?
(Power clignote en blanc ou rouge) > Pas d’erreur, prière d’attendre 10 min. jusqu’à ce que le globe (Internet) vient blanc et n’éteignez pas le routeur!
L’Internet ne fonctionne pas:
(globe: voyant rouge allumé) > Le nouveau câble DSL (violet) et nouveau microfiltre sont- ils branchés correctement?
> Avez-vous reçu le SMS ( voir p. 5 no 1)? > Réinitialiser le routeur (appuyez le bouton Reset avec un stylo pendant 15 secondes)
WLAN pas allumé:
> Appuyez sur la touche , pour allumer WLAN.
> Réinitialiser le routeur (appuyez le bouton Reset avec un stylo pendant 15 secondes)

Störungsbehebung
Router nicht bereit:
(Power leuchtet nicht)
> Stromkabel richtig angeschlossen? > Router eingeschaltet?
(Power blinkt weiss oder rot) > Kein Fehler, bitte 10 Minuten warten, bis die Weltkugel (Internet) weiss ist. Router solange nicht ausschalten!
Internet funktioniert nicht:
(Weltkugel leuchtet rot)
> Neues DSL-Kabel (violette Stecker) und neue Mikrofilter richtig eingesteckt? > SMS erhalten (siehe Seite 3 Nr. 1)? > Router rücksetzen (Reset-Knopf drücken mithilfe eines Stifts während 15 Sekunden)
WLAN leuchtet nicht:
> Drücken Sie auf die Taste , um WLAN einzuschalten.
> Router rücksetzen (Reset-Knopf drücken mithilfe eines Stifts während 15 Sekunden)

> Internet: www.swisscom.ch/hilfe > Gratisnummer: 0800 800 800
Risoluzione dei guasti
Router non pronto:
(Power non si illumina) > Cavo della corrente collegato correttamente?
> Il router è acceso?
(Power lampeggia in bianco o rosso) > Nessun errore, attendere 10 minuti finché il globo (Internet) si illumina di bianco. Non attivare il router per questo periodo!
Internet non funziona:
(il globo si illumina di rosso) > Nuovo cavo DSL (bianco con prese violette) e i nuovi microfiltri inseriti correttamente?
> Ricevuto SMS (vedere pagina 7 n. 1)? > Resettare il router (premere il tasto Reset per 15 secondi, con una penna)
WLAN non s’illumina:
> Premere il tasto , per attivare il WLAN.
> Resettare il router (premere il pulsante Reset per 15 secondi, con una penna)

> Internet: www.swisscom.ch/aiuto > Numero gratuito: 0800 800 800
Troubleshooting
Router is not ready:
(Power light is not on)
> Is the power cable correctly connected to the power supply?
> Is the router switched on?
(Power light is blinking in white or red) > No error. Please wait 10 minutes until the globe (Internet) turns white. Do not switch off the router during this time!
Internet is not working:
(globe: red light is on)
> Did you connect the new DSL cable and the new microfilters correctly? > Have you already received the confirmation text message (SMS) (see page 9 no 1)?
> Reset router (push the Reset button for 15 seconds with a pen)
WLAN is not on:
> Push the button , to activate WLAN.
> Reset router (push the Reset button for 15 seconds with a pen)
