Welcome to the second edition of the Bristol Tracker Newsletter.

The aim of the newsletter is to keep you informed about all the

recent updates available for schools to use within the Bristol Tracker

suite of resources, and also to let you know more about what services

and support are available to help your school with making the most effective

use of assessment data at all levels.

What’s new?

Training sessions term 3:

TRAINING FOR NQTs

Due to a high number of requests from schools for support for NQT teachers both with using the Bristol Tracker and with understanding assessment data and terminology, this term saw the first Bristol Tracker training for newly qualified teachers. The session was very well attended and received. New dates to follow!

NEW BRISTOL TRACKER EYFS MARK SHEET Since the recent changes to EYFS assessment, the old FS record mark sheet needed updating. Following requests from head teachers to support teachers in Reception with using SIMS to track children in their class, a new EYFS mark sheet and tracking grid have been produced and are available on request. An introduction to the new mark sheets is available. (See training info). Please contact Nicky for further information on training for EYFS teachers on the new resources and how to use SIMS to filter and track pupils is also available.

NEW EXPECTED OUTCOMES & PROGRESS FROM KS1 MARK SHEETS

We have created a new mark sheet to support with setting expected outcomes and 2 levels progress data. Also, a new improved progress from KS1 mark sheet using KS1

validated data and 2LP including RWM combined data. (See training info).

Bristol Tracker and Assessment training for NQTs

Following the first newsletter, we had a number of responses from schools who are interested in trialing new resources and being involved in ideas for future developments of the Bristol Tracker. If you would like to be part of a small group of head teachers and Assessment leaders working with us to explore new developments and to trial new resources please contact Nicky.
