Team Technology Taskforce
Protofab
Protofab is hyperBODY’s CNC fabrication laboratory.
Manufacturing:
Lasercutting:
● Cutting range 850x450mm ● Materials up to 15mm thick
● Avoid materials containing chloride
2D/3D Milling:
● Cutting range 2600x1500x300mm
● Materials possible: Styrofoam (piep), Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF), plastics ● Foam is not possible (too soft)
Dienst Electronische en Mechanische Ontwikkeling
(DEMO)
DEMO is the place where you can find experts on electronical and mechanical matters. They have locations all over the TU Delft Campus (DCT, BIO, RID, TN, CiTG, EWI, 3ME, LR). They can give you advice on most things within a design process and can manufacture almost anything for you.

Materialise Prototyping
Materialise offers a great amount of prototyping facilities, especially in 3D printing. They have offices and factories all around the world (closest one: Belgium) and ship all around the world (some techniques with shipping times of about 1 day). They offer a lot of fabrication techniques. Go to the following web page and read about each technique yourself. Most of the techniques are probably pretty expensive but you can always ask for a price quote.

Manufactoring:
3D Printing
● Stereolithography (SL) ● Nextday Stereolithography
○ Online prototype ordering. Delivers your prototypes in 24 hours when the order is placed before 12 noon CET.
● Mammoth Stereolithography ○ Big pieces up to 2 meters ● Laser sintering
● Fused Deposition Modelling ● Polyjet
○ Polyjet offers the unique ability to print parts and assemblies made of multiple model materials, with different mechanical or physical proper. You can
confidently order parts of unparalleled complexity, made of several materials and with the finish of a high-quality end product.
● Z Corp
Vacuum casting
Besides 3D printing, Materialise does also vacuum casting. ● Uses silicone molds build through 3D Printing (RP).
Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM)
● A technique to produce plastics parts by low-pressure injection of thermoset resins in molds.
