On the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment (major treaty ratified by the US, the ‘Cape Town
Treaty’ or the ‘Treaty’)(i) has been and remains involved in
all aspects of the development and implementation of the Treaty and promotion and assessment of compliance with the Treaty, (ii) chaired the group that prepared the initial draft of the Aircraft Protocol to the Treaty, (iii) chairs of the International Registry Advisory Board under the Treaty, and (iv) leads consultations with countries around the world on the ratification and national law implementation of the Treaty.

(2) rethinking the basic models on which treaty-based international commercial law reform is based, including the creation and implementation of, and compliance with,

international commercial law reform (and the potential for and limitations of their quantification);
(4) comparative commercial law and the history of commercial law;
(5) the political economy of international economic and commercial law reform, including the incentives and
disincentives of governmental and nongovernmental actors in the process and the implications of drafting style and techniques;
(6) developing the theoretical framework for the
establishment of transnational commercial law as a distinct teaching and research discipline);
(7) articulating the differing assumptions underlying public law treaties and private law treaties and developing the drafting, sphere of application and procedural implications on these differences;
(8) encouraging the convergence of the international commercial and international economic law reform processes; and
(9) historical development of jewish commercial and business laws and its impact on the development of such laws in different legal systems.
