Today we discover the enchanting sights of romantic Paris, the “City of Light.” Our English-speaking Parisian guide intro-duces us to the sights and sounds of the city including Notre Dame Cathedral, the celebrated Champs-Elysees Boulevard and the Arc de Triomphe. Enjoy an included NewsCenter Welcome Lunch hosted by our Tour Director. We continue our tour as we explore the Left Bank area of Paris. Enjoy a full breakfast complete with fresh fruit before venturing out each morning. Our path takes us through the French countryside into Normandy and the charming village of Giverny, home to Impressionist painter Claude Monet.

Surrounded by nature’s beauty, the serene atmosphere of his home, gardens and pond make us feel as if we’ve stepped into one of his famous paintings. This afternoon we visit Rouen en route to our three-night stay in Normandy. Rouen is the historical capital city of Normandy and is famous for its cathedral. The cathedral’s gothic façade was the subject of a series of paintings by Claude Monet. Inside the cathedral is the tomb of Richard the Lionheart. B

We are joined by a special World War II guide to learn about famous battle events. We’ll spend the morning at Omaha Beach where Americans took the German fortifications. We’ll study the battlefield, cross the beach, analyze maps and pay tribute to the courage that guarded our freedom. Today, the American Cemetery stretches along the bluff. We’ll pay our respects among the hundreds of crosses and Stars of David for the deceased. Our next visit is Arromanches, renowned site of Mulberry Harbor. The artificial port and dock handled thousands of Allied troops and cargo after they crossed the Channel during wartime. Portions of it remain today. B,d

Enjoy the scenic landscapes as we retrace our steps back to Paris. We start with a visit to the Musée d’Orsay on the left bank of the Seine River in the heart of Paris. It is housed in the former Gare d’Orsay, a Beaux-Arts railway station built between 1898 and 1900. Inside is the largest collection of impressionist and post-impressionist paintings in the world dating from 1848 to 1915. This evening we enjoy an included dinner followed by a spectacular Seine River cruise. This is a magical evening like no other, as we witness the glow of illuminated buildings, bridges and churches. This morning we will visit the incredible Garnier Opera House, home to the famous Phantom of the Opera. Paris

is a collection of unique neighborhoods; today we begin with a stroll through the Latin Quarter neighborhoods. These areas are lined with shops bakeries, cheese, butcher shops, fruits and vegetables, flowers and chocolates. We follow this with a visit to the Saint Germain Des Prés neigh-borhood, named after the oldest church in Paris. This afternoon is open for independent activities. If shopping is your desire, the famous department stores Galleries Lafayette and Printemps are nearby as well as many stores along Boulevard Haussmann. This evening is a special treat as we visit the Louvre when it isn’t as crowded as during the day. We see famous works of art, most notably DaVinci’s

Mona Lisa and the ancient greek statues Venus de Milo and Winged Victory. B

Once a mecca of artists, the

neighborhood of Montmartre is quint-essential Paris. Small squares, winding streets, small terraces and one of the most spectacular views of the city make for a delightful visit. We ascend the hill by funicular to the church Sacre Coeur, whose exterior is covered with gypsum, which whitens with age. Browse in the artist’s square of Place du Tertre filled with original works by local artists or have your portrait painted on the spot! This evening, our special Holiday Vacations Farewell Dinner will be a once-in-a-lifetime memory as we dine on exquisite French cuisine 58 meters above the street in the Eiffel Tower. Chief Meteorologist, Kirk Greenfield, joined TheNewsCenter in 1996. He enjoys keeping the Mid-Ohio Valley informed of what to expect from the weather and helping students under-stand the weather through visits to area classrooms.

Kirk received his Bachelor’s and Master’s telecommunication degree from Michigan State University and his Broadcast Meteorology Certificate from Mississippi State University. As a married father of two, Kirk enjoys spending quality time with his family. He and his children enjoy reading together, especially Dr. Who and Harry Potter novels.

Kirk and his wife Sheila previously hosted Holiday Vacations’ Glacier, Yellowstone & Grand Tetons, Alaska, Canadian Rockies & British Columbia by Rail, Railroading in the Rockies, Ireland, Hawaii, Italy, London, and Austria & Germany tours. Monet’s Garden

Claude Monet settled in Giverny in 1883 and created a garden full of perspectives, symmetries and colors. In the front of the house, a flower garden called Clos Normand features lush flowerbeds, majestic trees, climbing roses and colored banks of annuals. The property also features a Japanese inspired water garden, which includes the famous Japanese bridge covered with wisterias, weeping willows, bamboo wood and the famous water lilies.

The Louvre Museum

Musée du Louvre, commonly referred to as The Louvre, is one of the oldest, largest, and most famous art museums in the world. Located in the center of Paris, the building was originally built as a fortress in 1190 by King Phillipe-Auguste. This vast royal residence assumed its present form in the 18th century. Over the years, donations and purchases have enabled the museum to greatly expand its original royal collections.

Guaranteed Prices Holiday Vacations’ published tour prices are based on the rates known at the time of publication and are expected to be in effect at the time of depar-ture. Once we have received your deposit, your price is guaranteed, and any subse-quent price increase is at our expense. Reservations Make reservations well in advance. Space requested by phone will be held for five business days, pending receipt of the required deposit by mail, telephone or in person. Reservations made after the indicated final payment due date must be paid in full at the time of reservation. A Deposit Of $200 Per Person A deposit must accompany all reservation requests. Personal check, money order, Discover, MasterCard or VISA are acceptable forms of payment. The deposit is fully refundable prior to the final payment due date. Final Payment A balance due date and amount will be indicated on your tour invoice deposit receipt. We accept credit cards but appreciate final payments to be made by check or money order.

Special Requests Individual requests must be made when booking. Requests for (non) smoking, special dietary needs, and adjoin-ing, handicap accessible or other room types are subject to confirmation and cannot be guaranteed.

Surcharges Included Tour prices are guaranteed and include airfare, federal taxes, airport security charges, airline segment fees, airport passenger facility charges and fuel surcharges, if applicable. International airfare also includes applicable airport fees and taxes assessed by individual countries. Airline luggage fees are an additional charge and are payable directly to the airlines at check-in.

Hazardous Materials Federal law forbids the carriage of hazardous materials aboard aircraft in your luggage or on your person. A violation can result in five years imprisonment and penalties of $250,000 or more (49 U.S.C. 5124). Hazardous materials include explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives and radioactive materials. Examples: Paints, lighter fluid, fireworks, tear gases, oxygen bottles, and radio-pharmaceuti-cals. There are special exceptions for small quantities (up to 70 ounces total) of medicinal and toilet articles carried in your luggage and certain smoking mate-rials carried on your person. Airport Departure Cities Departure cities are subject to change due to limited or discontinued airline service. The availability of airline seats may be limited from each departure city. Holiday Vacations reserves the right to provide ground transportation to or from a larger or alternate airport. Departure From Cities Not Listed You may request a departure from a city not listed. Holiday’s air department will determine the feasibility of your request and advise you of any additional cost, if applicable.

Land Only Price You may request a land only price. If the tour is purchased as land only, it will be your responsibility to meet the group at the arrival airport at the time designated by Holiday Vacations. If you prefer, you can join the tour at the first night’s hotel. Taxi or other airport transfer costs are not included for independent arrival or departure.

Airline Seating Seat assignments are controlled by the airline. We will no longer solicit requests and seating cannot be guaranteed by Holiday Vacations. Award Miles Please be advised that some commercial airlines offer reduced award miles to travelers booked on a group reser-vation. Holiday Vacations is happy to submit your frequent flyer number to the airlines, but makes no guarantee that full mileage will be awarded.

Tour Participation The ability to perform assorted levels of activity while traveling varies between each individual. Although we welcome your questions regarding the amount of activity on any tour, Holiday Vacations is unable to determine your travel health and fitness level. Please consult your doctor with questions when evaluating your ability to travel.

Persons Needing Special Assistance Holiday Vacations does not provide per-sonal attendant services. Any disability requiring special attention should be reported to us at the time you make your reservation. We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate special needs, but we are not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, and other independent suppliers. Travelers requiring extraordinary assistance must be accompanied by a companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the necessary assistance. Children On Tour Children traveling on tour must be at least eight years old and accompanied by an adult.

Reservation Changes Requests for changes in flight schedules, early or extended hotel stays or for other eligible components of the tour should be made prior to the final payment date. A non-refundable processing fee of $50 per person will apply for any change request-ed prior to the final payment date and $100 per person for any change requested on or after the final payment date. These fees are in addition to any costs or penalties from suppliers.

Insurance Holiday Vacations recognizes the value and importance of travel insurance for our customers. We offer an optional Travel Protection Plan, which includes accident and sickness coverage, baggage protection, trip interruption and cancellation insurance. An insurance bro-chure will be sent with your tour invoice deposit receipt or may be requested in advance. For your convenience, the insur-ance premium is included in the balinsur-ance

due on your tour invoice. Processing fees for a voluntary change in airport departure or for other requested changes are not covered by this insurance. Insurance must be paid for on or before your final payment due date. Solo Travelers Holiday Vacations welcomes solo travelers. We will try to assist in arranging a roommate for any person wishing to share accommodations at the double occupancy tour rate. Should a shared arrangement not be available, the single price applies.

Triple & Quad These accommodations are usually in rooms with two double beds. A rollaway bed or cot is subject to availability on a request basis. Reservation Name/Identification The requirement to collect your date of birth, gender and full name as it appears on the government issued photo identification you will use on your tour is federally mandated by the Transportation Security Administration. TSA’s privacy policy as well as additional details, can be found at www.tsa.gov using the keywords Secure Flight. Passport Required

(FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL) Your Passport must be valid for 6 months from the end date of your tour. It is Holiday Vacations’ policy that all tours traveling outside of the United States require a valid U.S. Passport in the form of a Passport book. Passport cards and enhanced driver’s licenses are NOT acceptable forms of identification for any Holiday Vacations tour traveling outside of the United States. Tour Documents Tour packets will be mailed at least ten days before your tour departure date. This material includes tour pickup location and time, a tour itinerary, hotel list and luggage tag.

Gratuities Tips for all the included features of your tour (baggage handling, included meals, etc.) will be taken care of by your Tour Director. Tips for meals on your own or for other services are at your discretion. Customary tips for the Tour Director & Driver are on a voluntary basis and given individually. Suggested gratuities will be provided with your tour documents.

Train Routes & Schedules Please note that train schedules and/or routes are subject to change by railroad passenger services. No liability shall be incurred by Holiday Vacations for subsequent changes to train schedules and/or routes.

Cruise Line Charges Additional fees applied by the cruise lines are not included in your tour price. These fees include but are not limited to: daily service charge for cabin & wait staff, specialty restaurant cover charges and optional shore excursions.

Photography & Video on Tour Holiday Vacations reserves the right to take photo-graphs and/or videos on any of its tours and to use such records for promotional and/or commercial purposes.

Responsibility Tours are arranged and operated by Holiday Travel, Inc., d/b/a Holiday Vacations, 2727 Henry Ave., P.O. Box 87, Eau Claire, WI 54702. Holiday Vacations and their agents act only as an agent for such other parties, firms or corpo-rations providing services herein. No liability shall be incurred by Holiday Vacations, their agents, presenters or co-sponsors because of injury, loss, delay or other complication experienced by tour participants.

Holiday Vacations reserves the right to correct printing errors, to make any changes or alterations in the printed itineraries, dates, routings, hotels or in included features prior to or during the tour, necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the tour. The hotels used may change without notice. Holiday Vacations reserves the right to accept, decline or retain any person as a participant of these tours.

Luggage The cost of checking luggage with the airlines is the responsibility of each guest. This cost, if any, will be charged by the airlines when checking luggage for your flight and is payable directly to the airlines. An excess fee or

handling charge may be collected by the airlines for each piece over the designated allowance and for oversize or overweight baggage.

On tour, each person is allowed one suitcase which will be handled for you at hotels. In addition, you may carry a small bag aboard. Carry-on articles are the responsibility of each person. Carry-ons that do not fit in the overhead compartments may be charged as an additional piece of luggage. Additional pieces of luggage will be handled for you at hotels at a cost of $4 per bag, per day or at the cost specified for some tours. Though every effort will be made to safeguard your baggage, Holiday Vacations accepts no liability for loss or damage. Checked Luggage
