Sacrament of Baptism
Call the Parish Office to make arrangements. Parents must be registered, and attend two Baptism Classes before the Baptism will be scheduled. Baptism Classes are offered on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:45 pm in Room 11. There are two required classes. Bap-tisms are performed on the Second Saturday of every month at 10:30 am.
Sacrament of Matrimony
Please contact the Rectory 6-12 months before the date of the Marriage. Please note that Weddings cannot be scheduled less than six months in advance.
Registration
It is important that you are registered with the Parish of Saint Philip so we may adequately respond to your spiritual needs. Please note that you must be registered to receive a Spon-sor letter or enroll your child in any of the Sacramental programs at Saint Philip. If you are over the age of 21, you are asked to regis-ter independently of your parents. Registra-tion forms may be obtained by visiting the Parish Office or the website.

Dear Parishioners,
Peace to you. That simple greeting may mean a lot more to many of you, who like me, are feeling additional daily pressures compounded by the continuing global pandemic and the seemingly growing challenges presented to us as practicing Catholics by the world today. With all that is go-ing on, it is reasonable for one to sense a heavier burden pressgo-ing down on our shoulders these
days. Turning to prayer and being able to take part in Masses and Confessions offered at St
Phil-ip while being able to see and interact with our parish priests, deacons and others in our parish community has become even more critical during this time.
How have Catholics gotten through similar times like this before? We are fortunate in our Catho-lic beliefs to have examples of faith and prayer in the Communion of Saints who inspire and
inter-cede for us. The most recently beatified American, Blessed Father Michael McGivney is one such
model. He was a parish priest during the late 1800s in America, a time when Catholics were gener-ally discriminated against and repressed. Experiencing many of those challenges directly while growing up as the son of immigrants, Fr. McGivney was a man of the people, tireless and instru-mental in establishing parish centered support for Catholic families while being an example of fra-ternal charity and evangelization. He also founded the Knights of Columbus based on a mission of charity that continues today with global reach. His late ministry even occurred during the 1918 Flu Pandemic which was one of the deadliest global pandemics in history.
On Saturday, Feb. 6, at 7:30pm, we will be hosting a Parish Virtual Event where we tell the sto-ry of Blessed Michael McGivney. This online event will run just one hour and will feature the 30-minute documentary "Father Michael McGivney: An American Blessed" followed by a panel discus-sion and an open question & answer (Q&A) sesdiscus-sion. The panel will include our parish priests and several members of our local Knights of Columbus council who are fellow parishioners. We will provide a link to the event in the next D2D and on the parish website during the week. Please save the date in your calendars and hope to see you there virtually! Debido al clima frío y otras dificultades para realizar los Servicios de Comunión al aire libre, nuestros Servicios de Comunión parroquiales se cancelan. Nuestros últimos servicios al aire libre fueron el 3 de enero. Esperamos el clima más cálido cuando aquellos que no pueden en-trar al edificio de la iglesia debido a Covid-19 pueden asistir a Misa y quedarse en las sillas en el corredor.

Estimados Feligreses,
Paz a ustedes. Ese simple saludo puede significar mucho más para muchos de ustedes, que como yo, están sintiendo presiones diarias adicionales agravadas por la continua pandemia global y las aparentes crecientes de desafíos que el mundo de hoy nos presenta como católicos practicantes. Con todo lo que está sucediendo, es razonable que uno sienta una carga más pesada sobre nuestros
hom-bros en estos días. Regresar la oración y poder participar en las Misas y Confesiones que se ofrecen
en San Felipe ver e interactuar con nuestros párrocos, diáconos y otros en nuestra comunidad pa-rroquial se ha vuelto aún más crítico durante este tiempo.
Cómo han superado los católicos momentos similares como este antes? Somos afortunados en nuestras creencias católicas de tener ejemplos de fe y oración en la Comunión de los Santos que nos
inspiran e interceden por nosotros. El estadounidense beatificado más recientemente, el Beato
Pa-dre Michael McGivney es uno de esos modelos. Fue párroco a fines del siglo XIX en Estados Unidos, una época en la que los Católicos eran generalmente discriminados y reprimidos. Al experimentar muchos de esos desafíos directamente mientras crecía como hijo de inmigrantes, el Padre McGivney fue un hombre del pueblo, incansable e instrumental en el establecimiento de un apoyo centrado en la parroquia para las familias católicas, al mismo tiempo fue un ejemplo de caridad fraterna y evangeli-zación. Cuánta ansiedad nos traemos al preocuparnos constantemente por no tener lo suficiente o por lograr más cosas? Dios no necesariamente te dará todo lo que quieres, pero te proporcionará todo lo que ne-cesitas. Pruebe esto en el futuro: use la palabra “rezar” en lugar de la palabra “preocuparse.” Luego ore por las cosas en lugar de preocuparse por ellas.
