A Naya is our lead memory care caregiver, trained not only to provide expert care, but to engage residents as friends and equals. Instead of adhering to a rigid schedule, Nayas engage residents in their favorite pastimes in a natural rhythm throughout the day. Because Nayas are trained to be completely engaged and in the moment, they know each resident as they would a family member. From favorite cookies in their personal pantry to fun classes and outings you’d never think possible, our communities illustrate what the very best in memory care can be.

The word naya, which centers on the concept of being engaged in the present moment, comes from the ancient language of Classical Sanskrit. A guide, person of wisdom, conductor and leader – these terms truly define our caregivers, and that’s why we use the term Naya. In perfect alignment with our universal care model, the name Naya reminds community members to connect with residents and
