About

About the Organisers

RTC Events Management (RTCem) has a vision: to be a trusted builder of communities dedicated to the built environment. RTCem is a purpose-built events company dedicated to the needs of those

communities, and run by the community members themselves. Supported by a professional events staff centered in our Sydney headquarters, RTCem now has offices in each of its’ operational regions, and local committees dedicated to ensuring the relevance and value of each event for its individual technical, social, and cultural requirements.

As a community based organization, RTCem relies 100% on income from attendee registrations and the support of our sponsors and exhibitors. We do not run events outside the Built Environment industry, do not develop or sell any software or tools, and do not act as a primary or sub-consultant on project or practice related work. Instead we focus on our passion; providing the best environments in which to foster the growth and improvement of those communities.

About the Conference

RTC is an event series designed to cater to the needs of the BIM-centric community. Founded and run by users of software, RTC is the pre-eminent educational and networking event for users throughout

Australasia, North America, Europe and Asia. At its’ core has been the use of Autodesk Revit and other BIM processes in the architecture, engineering, construction and facilities management industries. However, the sessions do not feature Revit exclusively – in fact, there are a host of other topics, tools, workflows and experience that are shared at these events.

The Conference program is designed to provide attendees (at all levels) with ideas and materials to take back to work with them to improve workflow, efficiency and productivity. The Conference will feature tips and tricks, best practices, and undocumented features within each broad subject area. These sessions are not intended to be ‘step-by-step’ software training, but rather an opportunity to show existing users how to improve their use of the software, and new users what they can achieve by using BIM well. The

(3)

sessions will include discussion of items relevant to all flavours of Revit (Architecture, Structure and MEP) as well as the complimentary software tools and processes that fall within the Revit/BIM eco-system – including competing products. The sessions will cover information valuable to all experience levels.

In addition, some of the conference locations features streams of classes targeted specifically towards firm principals, executives, owners, partners and senior managers. These sessions are focused not on technical issues but instead are geared toward the strategic, financial, legal and operational aspects of implementing and using design technology effectively.

In 2016, some of our events will feature content geared towards the needs of less traditional attendee groups, such as construction planners, estimators, and the ArchiCAD user community.

Demographics

RTC EUR Delegate Profile

The conference attracts a broad range of delegates, such as Architects, Structural Engineers, Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic Engineers, Civil Engineers, BIM and CAD Managers, Design Technology Managers, IT Managers, Design Managers, Construction Managers, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Technologists, Thought Leaders and Academics. The conference also attracts a significant proportion of senior representatives, such as Owners, Directors, Partners and Associate Directors. The important statistic to note here is that 85% of delegates are listed as either key influencers or decision makers, and this is borne out through feedback received from sponsors and exhibitors from past events, who have noted that the typical RTC delegate is their ideal target audience – technically knowledgeable, business savvy, and able to make decisions.

The 2015 event had an overwhelmingly positive response from delegate feedback, which included 88% of delegates indicating that they would attend an RTC event in the future. Delegate levels of influence are indicated below:
