Dear Prospective Member,

Enclosed is information on the Manitowoc County Home Builders

Association (MCHBA). Please take a few minutes to read and look over the contents.

Your membership with the MCHBA will enable you to become a part of the strong and growing network of building related business represented locally, statewide and nationally.

The MCHBA annual dues are $475 per year. These dues are tri-tiered and break down as such: $133.00 for local dues, $160.00 for your state dues and $182.00 for national dues. Members must pay dues to all three tiers each year.

The MCHBA meets five months of the year, typically on the fourth Thursday of the month. These General Membership Meetings are a great way to network with fellow business people and are also informative.

Each year the MCHBA hosts the Parade of Home and various other

fundraising events such as the golf outing & trap shoot. Members are able to promote themselves in partnership opportunities with the MCHBA. Continuing education plays a major role within the members of the MCHBA. For this reason, the Association promotes numerous continuing educational seminars offered through the local technical college, other HBAs, the

Wisconsin Builders Association and more.

Please do not hesitate to call with any questions, comments or concerns. If you wish to be a guest at a MCHBA dinner please give our office a call for the next meeting date, time and location.

Warmest Regards,

What is a Builders Association Anyway?

The Manitowoc County Home Builders Association, part of a three-tiered organization working locally, at the state level and nationally, proudly works to provide and expand opportunities for all consumers to have safe, quality and affordable housing. Members of the Manitowoc County Home Builders Association (MCHBA) are also members of the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Approximately one-third of NAHB’s 130,000 members are home builders and/or remodelers. The remaining members are associates working in closely related fields within the housing industry such as mortgage finance and building products and services. Manitowoc County Home Builders Association has 130 business members working in communities throughout Manitowoc County.

NAHB, WBA and MCHBA all serve members in a variety of ways, which in turn benefits consumers. Through education; including business management, customer service, construction techniques and more, the association strives to improve the business performance of members. When working with a builders

association member, consumers know they are working with an individual and/or company committed to professional growth.

Manitowoc County Home Builders Association members have access to local, state and national resources for industry information, research and technical expertise. Through publications, trade shows, seminars, and conferences, members have exposure to the latest building products and services. With these opportunities available to them, association members can provide value-added insights and cost-saving techniques to their customers.

“Home Builders Care” has been a focus for NAHB for many years, and it is embodied through the WBA Foundation and community service projects undertaken by MCHBA. Association members truly care about the communities in which they work and live and they have reached out to help those communities in many ways.

The network of builders associations across the country strengthen communities and the industry through workforce development efforts. From encouraging youth to choose housing-related careers to retraining displaced workers, association members know that a quality, professional workforce is essential.

From the federal to the local level, association members concentrate on balanced legislative, regulatory and judicial public policy. Guided by a vision of an America in which all citizens have access to housing of their choice and the opportunity to realize the American dream of homeownership, association members are dedicated to the prosperity of their industry and their communities.
