welcome message
By taking time to read this prospectus, you have signaled your intent to chart a new growth path and seize control of your destiny in a world that is dynamic and rapidly changing. I feel privileged to offer you the partnership of our team of highly qualified and motivated staff on this journey.
Over the years, Regent Business School has dedicated itself to its “learner-centred” philosophy by continually reviewing the curricula of its programmes to ensure their alignment with regulatory requirements and relevance to the changing needs of various work environments in which our students find themselves – both within and outside South Africa. In tandem with this, our teaching and learning strategy continues to be reviewed to ensure that it lives up to our commitment to “taking the distance out of distance learning.” We have used technology to support and enriched interaction with our students, irrespective of their physical location on the globe. To make all this possible, RBS has invested in a magnificent new main campus located on the Eastern Seaboard of the Indian Ocean in Durban. The new campus boasts state-of-the-art lecture and syndicate rooms, computer laboratories, library, and other amenities. The new campus is also home to key departments that support and complement teaching and learning namely: Student Support and Administration, Counseling, Assessments, Research Administration, Quality Assurance and a Recording Studio.
RBS continues to gain rapid recognition as one of the most innovative private business schools in South Africa. In addition to full-time faculty, leading professionals from the
corporate world interact regularly with students as adjunct faculty and guest presenters. A growing Professoriate of retired academics from neighbouring public institutions has added a vibrant collegial feel of academic engagement and research to our business school.
In addition to ensuring that curricula for our programmes retain academic integrity, these Professors open gates for some of our students to gain admission to public higher education institutions of good standing in the country. At Regent Business School we also believe that a strong Alumni Association is the best quality assurance for a higher education institution. To this end, we have responded to the rapid growth in our Alumni by establishing a dedicated Alumni Office which will administer and coordinate Alumni activities within and outside South Africa.
At the end of your studies, we trust that you will become an active member of the Regent Business School Alumni and benefit from the professional and social networks that the Association provides.
This prospectus will provide you with all the information you require to make your final decision. I trust that you will choose Regent Business School. It will be our privilege to partner with you on this important journey. I look forward to welcoming you at Regent Business School
