Change requests and bug fixes

2.1

Licensed features displayed in wizard

In BRS 8.10 the Configuration wizard shows all licensed features, even the pre-licensed ones such as 8 IP cameras on BRS Appliance.

2.2

BRS runs on embedded OS

BRS 8.10 can be installed on embedded OS.

Note: BRS running on DiBos hardware is not supported.

2.3

Web connection improved

Bug in Web connection fixed in BRS 8.10.

BRS 8.10 Web Server also is running on Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Server 2003 R2.

Note: The instructions for configuring IIS have changed, and some of the steps need to be done for the Web server when upgrading to BRS 8.10 (in particular: aspnet_regiis for .NET 4.0, configure Application Pool, turn off Application Recycling).

2.4

Smart search from DiBos cameras

2.5

ADAM relay as malfunction relay

In BRS 8.10 an ADAM relay can be used as malfunction relay.

2.6

Licenses included in .prm file

2.7

Search of additional data from ATM over DTP3 box provides the correct hits. Note: Recording must be done with BRS 8.10.

2.8

Export of additional data

In BRS 8.10 additional data are exported correctly.

2.9

.NET framework

BRS 8.9 requires NET framework 3.5 SP1 and .NET Framework 4.0 to be installed.

Both are available on Bosch web page and BRS 8.10 Setup DVD.

3

Known restrictions

3.1

Restrictions on ONVIF support

Only the features mentioned in chapter 1.2 are supported.

• Other ONVIF device features such as audio, inputs, relays are not supported.

• Only H.264 streams are supported from ONFIV cameras (no MPEG4 streams or JPEG images).

• Multi-channel ONVIF encoders (e.g. AXIS M7014 ) are not recognized during network scan - only the first channel is found. Further channels can be added manually on the camera setting page.

• During testing the following issues have been identified, which are most probably caused by the cameras’ firmware:

1. Sometimes there are connection interruptions of around 10 s which happen with almost all Axis and with the Panasonic camera.

2. Sometimes we receive corrupted UDP packets with an invalid checksum from almost all Axis and from the Sony camera which cause a frame drop in recording.
