Our

Location

LOS ANGELES

www.csun.edu/anr/intl

CSUN

Cal State Northridge is located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, not far from downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and Southern California’s world-famous beaches. The “Valley” is a lively, multi-ethnic part of Los Angeles, with a population of more than 1.7 million, restaurants serving cuisine from all corners of the globe, shopping malls, and lots of student-friendly apartment buildings. We enjoy year-round sun, with temperatures averaging 70 degrees Fahrenheit, or 21 degrees Celsius.

Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world and one of the most exciting cities anywhere, so our international students never run out of things to do on the weekend. You can enjoy a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, hit a dance club on Sunset Boulevard, shop on Melrose Boulevard or stroll the beach at Santa Monica or Venice. Don’t forget we’re just an hour away from the happiest place on earth—Disneyland.

Our campus is spread over 356 acres in a

park-like setting, with contemporary

architecture and lots of shade trees and

walking paths. The main hub of activity

is the newly renovated University

Student Union. This is the place to go to

grab a burger, meet friends for coffee, or

catch a movie. Next door is the fitness

center and junior Olympic pool, heated

year round.

Across the street is the five-story Oviatt

Library, whose grand staircase entrance

has been used as a backdrop in many TV

shows and Hollywood films. To help

make sure you stay safe and healthy, we

have our own Department of Public

Safety and student health center.

We’re wired! We have state-of-the-art

technology in every corner of campus

and wireless access in most locations.
