Use of Funds

The IDA match savings program operates on a 3:1 match ratio. We now offer two options to save

through.

Option 1:

You save $1,000

You’re matched with $3,000

Total Funds: $4,000

Six months minimum savings period

Option #2:

You save $2,000

You’re matched with $6,000

Total Funds: $8,000

13 months minimum savings period

After saving, attending the required Foundations class and approval of your business plan, Mercy Corps Northwest matches your savings with a grant (either $3,000 or $6,000, depending on the option chosen). IDA funds can only be used for Oregon-based businesses for the purchase of hard assets. Inventory, rent and other monthly expenses are not covered through IDA funds. Vehicle purchases are also not eligible. A total of 25 % of your funds can be used toward marketing if it is a long term asset to your business such as website creation or logo design.
