Finnair – Allegro Co-operation

• Fast Allegro trains between Helsinki Central Railway Station and

Finlyandsky Railway Station in St. Petersburg operated by Finnish

Railways (VR) and Russian Railways (RZD) will be added to

Finnair network

• AY code will be placed on two trains per day in each direction

• AY* code trains can be sold through any GDS as any other

Finnair flight in connection to a Finnair international flight

Keypoints

• Finnair code on the selected trains will be available in sales channels 1st October

effective 1st December for travel

• Seats are sold as part of international routing (no local traffic or no traffic from

domestic Finland destinations)

• Minimum Connecting time 2hrs 45 min

• AY* seats cannot be booked 14 days or less prior to departure

• Timetable for AY* trains (W14):

Product Details

• Booking can be made 15 – 360 days before departure

• Travel only as part of an international journey

• Train segment is issued as part of the e-ticket with AY flight number for the train

• Passengers need to check travel documents extra carefully

Schengen visa needed for transfer

• No check-in is required for the train segment.

Passport will act as the ticket for the conductor

• Baggage is tagged to or from Helsinki only. Passenger shall collect the baggage

and transport it between the airport and railway station v.v.

• Passenger is responsible of transportation and transportation cost between airport

and railway station v.v.

Possibilities are taking Finnair bus to the Helsinki Central Railway Station or taking a taxi to

Tikkurila railway station

From July 2015 onwards train connection from airport to Tikkurila v.v.

• Stopovers will be allowed in the fare rules

• Groups smaller than 20 passengers allowed

• Additional seats can not be purchased

Making the Reservation

• Seats are booked from GDS availability

• Information of the train service available when the segment is booked and in flight

information (DO)

• Mandatory seating

• Mandatory APIS needed

• Seat map is converted to the reservation from airline seat map to train seats

• Allegro car number is always 2 – this is informed in Endorsement

• No special meals

• Following SSR’s possible: INFT, CHLD, BLND, SVAN, WCBD, WCBW, WCBL, WCHC,

WCHR, WCHS/WCMP allowed. No other SSR’s shall be confirmed.
