Delaware County Community College (DCCC) and Temple Unive6ity Oemple) enter into this agreement in

order to facilitate the transfer of students with an Associate in Applied Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management to the Bachelor of Science in Tourism & Hospitality Management of Temple's School of Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Students who transfer to Temple with the Associate in Applied Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from DCCC will be required to complete the 45+ GenEd requirements. Students who complete the DCCC

cuficulum

specmed on page 4 of this agreement are guaranteed the transfer credit for courses indicated in that

section.

Courses not listed there, but brought into Temple in transfer by a student coverBd by this agreement, will be granted credit according to standard Temple-Delaware County Community College equivalencies. Students who complete the DCCC cuniculum speclfied on page 4 of this agreement and the additional

requirements specified on page 6 of this agreemeni will be able to complete the requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Tourism & Hospitality by completing the Tourism & Hospitality couEework specifed on page 6 and the remaining General Education requirements as a matriculated Temple Univorsity student, assuming all applicable Temple grade and other requirements are met to the satisfaction of Temple.

This agreement does not change the regular Temple policy that grants transfer credit to couBes taken elsewhere only it they were completed with a grade of C or

higher-Students who transfer under the terms of this agreement are responsible for meeting requirements in their maior field of study and any other cunicular requirements applying to all Temple students that wer6 in efiect at Temple at the time of their matriculation to Temple. These students will abida by the policies and procedures, and any revisions thereofthat apply to all Temple students.

This agreement does not cover studenls who transfer from Delaware County Community College to Temple without first completing the Associate in Applied Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION TO TEMPLE

1.

Students entering Temple under the terms of this agreement musi meet all regular Temple admissions requirements and all applicable Temple requirements and deadlines pertaining to application for admission and payment of tuition and fees.

Evaluation of transfer credits is based on a student's maior, and the student's Temple school/college makes the final determination of which transfer credits are applicable to the studenfs degree program. Transfer evaluations may change for students who change majors. Whenevor possible, credit is allowed for courses completed more lhan 10 years before the date of admission.

Because the Oelaware County Community College Associate in Applied Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management, is not covered by the GenEd to GenEd Transfer Agreement, students under lhis agreement must sa$sry all the General Education requiroments for the 45+ GenEd program not completed as part of the A.A.S. degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management

Temple requires that all transfer courses are completed with a grade of C or higher. Consequently,

Delaware County Community College courses equivalent to Temple courses, taken under the terms of this agreement, will receive transfer credit at Temple only if completed with a grade of

JOINT RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MAINTENANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT

Delaware County Community College will maintain and distribute information about the

curent

form of this agreement, and any changes relevant to it, to students, counselors, advisors, and faculty.

Temple University's School of Tourism & Hospitality Management will keep appropriate Temple oftices and staff (including the

Offce

of the Senior Vice Provost for University Studies and Admissions ofrce) informed

of

this agreement and any modifications thereto, will post ne€ded DARS exceptions specified in the agreement, and will be responsible for distributing information conceming any changes.

Both institutions will encourage Delawar€ County Community College students to meet with representatives

of

Temple University to discuss issues related to admissions and financial aid well in advance of their expected date of entry.

Faculty trom each institution teaching in the cuniculum for which this agreement has been developed will be encouraged to meet at least once annually to discuss issues of cuniculum and student development. Temple University and Delaware County Community College will collaborate when posEible on research activities that will help assess the effectiveness of this transfer program in meeting tho needs of students transfening from Delaware County Community College to Temple University.

REVISION. RENEWAL AND TERMINATION OF THIS AGREEMENT

The Dean's Office of Temple's School of Tourism & Hospitality Management and the Delaware County Community College Transfer Office ar6 responsible for identifying, and communicating to each other,

This agreement will be in effect as of Fall 2014, will be reviewed annually

School of Tourism & Hospitality Management and Delaware County Community College Transfer Office, and will automatically be renewed until superseded by a new agreement or formally terminated. Revisions in the course equivalency lists may be made with the verbal consent of the representatives of lhe two schools; major revisions to this agreement require their signatures on a lener of agreement or a revised version of the agreoment. All revisions, hovvever, require that documentiation is sent and approved by Temple's Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies to ensure that updates are made to the appropriate systems in order to eff€ctively implement this agreement. Either institution may terminate this agreement at

least one year in advance of the effective date of termination. Should this agreeme'nt be terminated, it is understood that the termination will not apply to students already accepted to Temple University under the terms of this agreement, but not yet enrolled in classes at Temple.

Oelaware County Community College and Temple University understand that they shall act in an independent capacity in the performance

ofthis

agreement, and shall not be considered as employees, agents, affiliates, or

subsidiaries of each

other.

Neither Temple nor Delaware County Community Colbga have the right to bind or obligate one another in any manner inconsistent u/ith or unrelated to this agreemeni. This

agreeient

is govemed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
