This report describes the activities that EAB staff performed in response to the board’s oversight role under s.38.50, Wis. Stats.
SCHOOL ACTIONS A. New School Approval:
• Concordia University-Portland (Online), Portland, OR
The University first opened its doors at its current location in 1905. The school began as a four-year academy to meet the needs of the region for pastors and school teachers for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The campus has evolved into an university that offers a solid liberal arts education, pre-professional programs, professional church work programs, and undergraduate and graduate degrees in education and business.
• Foley-Belsaw Institute, River Falls, WI
The Institute provides students with an up-to-date locksmith training course they complete at their own pace and in their own homes. Since 1926 Foley-Belsaw has helped people set up their own businesses by providing training, tools, and supplies they need to succeed. • Private Detective Academy, Brookfield, WI
The Academy developed their training program to prepare applicants for a career in the field of investigation. The private detective/investigator training program allows for a variety of opportunities in fields such as private detective/investigator, legal, security, homeland security, and corporation investigations.
• Pura Vida Yoga, Appleton, WI
The 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program focuses on practical teaching experience, special populations and age groups, the science and philosophy of yoga, anatomy and physiology, and becoming a successful yoga teacher. Offered on the weekends for three months, the program allows students to become Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT-200). • Salve Regina University (Online), Newport, RI
The school was founded in 1947 by the Sisters of Mercy and is a Catholic co-educational university with a residential campus in Newport, RI. The undergraduate course of study is designed to further intellectual, social and spiritual growth. Graduate and continuing education programs are tailored to the unique needs of adult students.
• Today's Dentistry Assisting School, LLC, Cedarburg, WI
The School has been created to meet the demand for well-trained dental assistants in the Milwaukee Metropolitan area.Upon completion of the program, each student will be qualified to find placement in the dental assisting field.
• Warner Pacific College (Online), Portland, OR
The College is a Christ-centered, urban, liberal arts college dedicated to providing students from diverse backgrounds with an education that prepares them to engage actively in a constantly changing world. The college has been adhering to its mission since the 1940’s. • Yoga Ward, Milwaukee, WI
The 212-hour Yoga Teacher training program is approved by the Yoga Alliance and is a comprehensive introduction to the art and science of yoga. Students learn the benefits and functions of asana, meditation, band has, mantra, and pranayama in order to teach others effectively. The program is offered on weekends for four months.

• Phippen vs. Wisconsin School of Professional Pet Grooming (WSPPG) – 8/29/14 – No response to five EAB attempts to interview Ms. Phippen about her complaint, and not able to speak with her DVR Counselor. EAB could not adequately investigate the complaint, the EAB notified Ms. Phippen it was suspending its investigation.
