Portrait of the city MLinster is the capital of Westphalia in the North- West of Germany close to the Dutch border. MLinster is a 12oo year old city with a nice- ly preserved medieval core. It became famous in 1648 when the Peace Treaty at the end of the 3 o Years War was signed here.Today the city houses the 3rd largest univer- sity in Germany with a pro- minent medical faculty.

MiJnster has a local airport, well connected to Frankfurt and Munich for international flights, but also with some di- rect international connec- tions (Zurich, Copenhagen). Intercity trains between Hamburg and Cologne stop in MiJnster.
