This theme documentation file covers installation and all of the main features and, just like the theme, is regularly updated. To access the current version of this file at any time, from your WordPress admin, go toAppearance→ Theme Options and click the Docs tab.
Installation
To get started, you must first install and activate the theme from your WordPress dashboard.
1. Go to Appearance→Themes 2. Click Add New, then click Upload
3. Locate the themename.zip file and click Install Now then click Activate
Alternatively, if you prefer using FTP, you can upload the unzipped theme folder to your /wp-content/themes/ directory.
↳ This theme requires WordPress 3.6 or above.
Theme Updates
Once you've successfully installed the theme, you should check to see if there is a newer version available. If you go to Appearance→Themes and you see the Update Available notice bar over the theme screenshot you can click that link to auto-update the theme.
Theme Options
Theme Customizer
All presentational theme options (design, layout, etc.) are also accessible via the live Theme Customizer at Appearance→Customize. The Theme Customizer allows you to tweak theme options and see a preview of those changes in real time.
Homepage Setup
By default, WordPress will show your most recent posts on the homepage of your site. To use the custom homepage template designed for this theme follow these steps.
1. Go to Pages→Add New to create a new page to use as your home front page. Set a title (e.g. Home) and click Publish.
2. Go to Pages→Add New to create a new page to use as your blog front page. Set a title (e.g. Blog) and click Publish.
3. Go to Settings→Reading and from the Front page displays section select the A static page option.
4. Select your 'Home' page you just created from the Front page dropdown and then select your 'Blog' page from the Posts page dropdown.
5. Now, click Save Changes and you're done.
Your homepage is now using the custom homepage template which consists of multiple content sections. If you haven't already, go to Appearance→ Theme Optionsand click on theHomepagetab to customize your homepage.

Using Post Formats
This theme supports six post formats, selectable from the Edit Post screen:
Standard, Gallery, Link, Image, Quote, Video, Audio. Whenever you create a new post, choose an appropriate post format and follow the instructions below.
Standard —The Standard post format is the default format. Read below for non-standard post formats.
Gallery —To publish a Gallery post, first select Gallery from the post Format box.
Now, under your post editor, you'll see a Featured Gallery section. Click the Manage Gallery button and upload your gallery images from the Edit
Featured Gallery dialog that opens. Now click the Save Featured Gallery button. You can also select images you've already uploaded by clicking the Add to Gallery link on the left and then the Media Library tab. Once you've selected your images, click the Add to Gallery button.
Now you will see thumbnails of all of your gallery images in the Featured Gallery section. You can reorder or edit your gallery images at any time by clicking the Manage Gallery button again. The Featured Gallery will be displayed at the top of the post.
↳ You should also set a Featured Image. This image will be used as the
Image —To publish an Image post, first select Image from the post Format box. Then, upload the image you want to highlight from the Featured Image box. The Featured Image will be displayed at the top of the post.
Quote —To publish a Quote post, first select Quote from the post Format box. Then, type or paste your quote into the post content editor. The post title will not be displayed on your site; only the quoted text you entered will be shown. If you're including a quote citation, highlight the citation text with your cursor and select Citation from the Styles dropdown in the post editor toolbar. ↳ This post format does not use a Featured Image.
Video —To publish a Video post, first select Video from the post Format box. Now, under your post editor, you'll see a Featured Video section. Here you can paste either a Video Link or Video Embed Code. The Featured Video will be displayed at the top of the post.
↳ You should also set a Featured Image. This image will be used as the
post's thumbnail in some areas of the theme.
Audio —To publish an Audio post, first select Audio from the post Format box. Now, under your post editor, you'll see a Featured Audio section. Here you can paste either an Audio Link or Audio Embed Code. The Featured Audio will be displayed at the top of the post.
Porfolio Setup
Creating Portfolio Posts—Creating Portfolio posts is just like creating standard Blog posts; simply go to Portfolio→Add New. Also, just like standard posts, you can create Categories to organize your Portfolio posts.
Portfolio Front Page — By default, your Portfolio front page is located at
http://YOURSITE.com/portfolio. However, to change that go toAppearance → Theme Options → Portfolio → Portfolio Slugs and follow the
instructions provided.
Portfolio Menu Link — To add a Portfolio front page link to your menu
navigation go toAppearance→Menus and find thethe Links menu module on the left andadd the Portfolio front page URL mentioned above.
Multiple Portfolios—To create multiple Portfolio pages you'll need to use Portfolio categories and sub-categories. Each Portfolio Category can be a new Portfolio page. Go to Appearance→Menus and find the Portfolio Categories menu module on the left and add a Portfolio Category to a menu location. The Portfolio Category pages will look just like the Portfolio front page, however they will only show posts within that Category. Any
sub Categories will appear as Portfolio filters.
↳If you can't see the Portfolio Groups box, ensure that it is enabled in the screen options. The Screen Options pull down tab is located in the upper right corner of your Dashboard.http://cl.ly/Tmeg
Menu Setup
Navigate to Appearance→Menus and followthistutorial on how to create menus.
This theme comes with four menu locations for you to display your menus. • Primary Menu—menu bar below the logo
• Secondary Menu—top-right, across from the logo • Footer Menu—menu bar at the bottom
• Mobile/Tablet Menu—replaces both header menus for mobile/tablet visitors
Portfolio Menu Link — To add a Portfolio front page (all categories) menu
link you'll need to use the Links menu module. By default, your Portfolio front page is located at http://YOURSITE.com/portfolio. However, to change that go toAppearance→ Theme Options → Portfolio → Portfolio Slugs and follow the instructions provided.
Buttons— To create a button menu link, simply add the word button to the
CSS Styles field for that menu link.

Sidebar and Footer Widgets
This theme comes with five widget areas.• Global Sidebar—displayed in the sidebar throughout your site except for Pages
• Page Sidebar—displayed in the sidebar only on Pages • Footer 1st Column—first column of footer
• Footer 2nd Column—second column of footer • Footer 3rd Column—third column of footer
Recommended Plugins
To install any of the following plugins go to Plugins→ Add New and use the Search field.
Regenerate Thumbnails— If you are NOT using this theme on a brand new site you'll want to install this plugin to regenerate your thumbnails to the correct sizes for this theme.
Contact Form 7— A plugin to create contact forms for your site which this theme supports and includes custom styling for.
Say what?— This plugin allows you to easily translate/change anytext used in the theme.
