Program Objectives
OACNS hosts the conference to give Oklahoma CNSs a local place to obtain pharm hours. OACNS invites any neighboring state's CNSs as well as any other Advanced Practice Registered Nurses needing Pharmacology hours.
Following completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
• Identify disease management and evidenced-based practice to use in care of a wide range of disease processes such as cardiology, neurology, urology, acute and chronic disease processes.
• Discuss updates in pharmacology related to management of selected medical & mental health disorders.
• Describe the role of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in prescribing medications in acute and chronic conditions.
Speakers: Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and Physicians will be sharing their expertise with the participants.
Pharmacology Hours: Up to 8 pharmacology hours possible per participant.
We have been approved, from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing, for 8 Total Pharmacology Hours Level C continuing education category on presented content.
Contact Hours: INTEGRIS Health is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's commission on accreditation. This activity is provided through INTEGRIS Health for 6.6 contact hours if all sessions are attended.

Speaker Bios
Diana Webber, DNP, APRN-CNP
Dr. Webber has extensive experience as a Registered Nurse and, in the last 15 years, as a Family Nurse Practitioner and nursing educator. She has clinical advanced practice nursing experience in general pediatrics, women's health, and adult primary care. She is fluently bilingual in Spanish; and she has founded and manages an all-volunteer staffed, free primary care clinic for uninsured persons in southeast Oklahoma. She currently works part-time at an OU Physicians pediatric outpatient clinic, serves as a part-time clinical professor at the Fran & Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of OK Health Sciences Center in the BSN to DNP Family Nurse Practitioner program, and volunteers at three free primary care clinics throughout the state.
Susan George, DNP, APRN- CNP, CCNS, CCRN, CHFN
Susan George is a clinical nurse specialist and an acute care nurse practitioner. She has been working as a heart failure advanced practice nurse at the INTEGRIS Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute in Oklahoma City for more than a decade. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing with Master of Science in Nursing and in 2016 with Doctor of Nursing Practice. She completed her Post-Master's Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at Saint Louis University. Susan also has her certifications as Certified Heart Failure Nurse, Cardiac Medicine Certification, and Critical Care Registered Nurse. She has published in in Dimensions of Critical Care Nursing in 2016 and 2020
Leah Melton, APRN, CNP, BC-ADM
Leah Melton APRN, CNP is a board certified APRN in Advanced diabetes Management. Leah attended the University of Michigan as the only out of state student in a class of 11. She
graduated top of her class in 2012. Leah owns and operates an independent Diabetes Center in Norman, OK since 2015. Before opening her own clinic, she worked full time in
Endocrinology. Her passion is caring for the many Oklahomans who live with a difficult chronic illness.
Dr. Angela DeRosa, DO, MBA, CPE,
Dr. Angela DeRosa, DO, MBA, CPE, is a dynamic professional on a mission to change the face of women's health and wellness. As a respected, internationally recognized authority on
women's hormonal health, Dr. DeRosa understands the range of health issues women face leading up to and during menopause as she herself was in full-blown menopause by the age of 35. Dr. DeRosa has more than 25 years experience in the medical field, both on the
pharmaceutical side and in clinical practice. In 2009, she founded DeRosa Medical, which quickly became eponymous with bio-identical hormonal healthcare. She eventually sold her company in the fall 2017 in order to focus on new opportunities including re-opening another hormonal health practice, DRM Integrative Health.
