. Attendance

Our School loses over $100k each year in funding due to absences. Consistent attendance is essential for your child’s academic development and

engagement. The school’s overall attendance rate is now a metric for state evaluation. Our goal is a 98% attendance rate, which means only 3-4 absences per student per year on average.

2. Pledge Monthly

Donations provide over $200k

in funding (8% of budget). Your participation is vital! A pledge of $50 - $200 monthly for each student is necessary to sustain the exceptional programs offered at Live Oak. You can give online at liveoakfoundation.org or Contact Jerusha Ogden, Annual Fund Administrator, at

Our next meeting is September 7th at 6:30pm in the school library, so come on by and see us. And if you

Live Oak Needs Coaches

by Mr. Draper, Live Oak Movement Teacher &Athletic Director

After school sports provide wonderful opportunities and experiences. Our sports programs run only if we have volunteer coaches. This year we've lost David

Woodbury who generously held down volleyball and built and strong program. As well, other programs are at risk of not running without parent support.

If you coached in the past and are planning to coach again, if you are willing to assist, or if you can help - please let me know so that I can begin to organize the schedules.

For league data/ info and see what Live Oak (LO) did last season. Check our league website http:// themssl.weebly.com  keep in mind the information is from last season.

We are currently looking for:

Lead and assistant Volleyball coaches. 2 practices per week (TBD), about 9 games and playoffs/ tournament following the season if we qualify. First game usually comes in the second week of Sept.

Assistant coaches for Cross-country. 2 practices per week (TBD) Cross Country competitions last year began in the third week of September.

Boys Basketball - has coaches, let me know if you'd like to assist. First Game expected in late October •Girls Basketball - has coaches, let me know if you'd like to assist. First Game expected in mid January.

For all the events we will need volunteer drivers

If your child would like to participate in any school sports have them talk to their teacher, to Mr. Draper or to the office staff.  For more information or to volunteer contact aaron.draper@liveoakcharter.org Thank you for bringing this opportunity to Live Oak students!
