REF: Architectural Contract Document Reviewer (QA/QC) Architectural Specification Writer
On-Site Architectural Representative
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing regarding potential position(s) in your organization as indicated under the “Referenced” section above.
Although I love design and planning, my expertise lies in the technical aspects of the practice.
As the enclosed resume indicates, I am a licensed Architect with approximately 35 years of experience in the architectural and construction professions. I have experience in all aspects of the Architectural delivery process, from Architectural Programming to Construction Administration to Building Close Out. In my previous firms, I served as a Senior Project Director, Senior Project Manager/Architect, Construction Administrator, and an On-Site Architectural Representative. As a Project Architect and Manager, I managed the development of the construction drawings and developed and wrote the specifications on all projects, using e-Specs Linx software. I also worked closely with the consultants and engineers, cross coordinating their work with each other and with the architectural contract documents to assure that there are no gaps in the documents that would adversely impact the construction cost.
I have experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Bluebeam. I am a hard worker and a quick learner and like to be challenged. I have extensive knowledge in reviewing construction documents and I am very familiar with applicable codes, standards, and zoning ordinances. I also have extensive knowledge and experience with the Construction Administrative phase of projects, having been the on-site representative for two very large and complex projects; one in New Orleans ($250 million) and the other in Indio, California ($340 million).
I would welcome the opportunity of a personal interview and I believe I have the skills, experience, qualification, and depth of knowledge that would be beneficial to your organization. I am open to a full time, part time or contract position and I am willing to relocate, but would prefer working remotely, if possible. Thank you for your assistance with this matter and I look forward to hearing from you soon. (My resume is attached to this letter).
Sincerely,
Lawrence C. Izegbu, AIA, NCARB, LEED GA, CSI
