Members of the Resurrection Faith Community
After Communion during Mass on Sunday, November 7, representing the Finance Council of Pastoral Council, I shared the annual stewardship message for those in attendance. We also want to share that message with the entirety of our Faith Community through the bulletin, weekly newsletter and website through this message and the charts that served as the foundation for our discussion.
There are two key messages about the Parish's financial condition that we want to make sure we convey:
1) the Parish is in very good financial condition even after the challenges posed by the effects of Covid-19.
2) Fr. Greg, Fr. Bill, Resurrection Staff, and members of the Pastoral Council and Finance Council are profoundly grateful to all Members of the Resurrection Faith Community who so willingly and generously share their time, talents and treasure with the Parish. It is because of you and through you and your efforts that Resurrection is vibrantly living out its mission.
Please feel free to connect with me via email (chip@resurrectionde.org) if you have any questions or comments. Again, thank you so very much for being the prayerful, dedicated and generous people who you are. Peace,
Chip Schussler Executive Officer

Greetingg Cardss andd 20222 Calendarss forr Locall Nursingg Homee Residentss
A small but mighty group of women from the Resurrection Wednesday morning prayer group is gathering greeting cards to send to several local nursing /rehab homes for residents who could use a cheery thought. We deliver to Millcroft, Cadia, Churchman’s Village, Brookdale, Little Sisters of the Poor and other suggestions are welcome. 2022 Calendars are also being collected for the residents.
We are inviting all parishioners, young and old, to join us in this effort.
.
We ask that you gather cards - either holiday or generic - and write a short message inside, and drop off the cards
by Wednesday Dec 1.
The message could be something like: "Resurrection Parish is thinking and praying for you, and we want you to know you are loved."
You may drop off the cards in the box labeled
"Nursing Home Cards" in the Gathering Space.
Thank you for supporting the youth summer service trip in New Haledon, NJ July 2022. Pick up sandwiches on Sunday, November 14 between 3 and 4 PM. Pull up in front of the church and we bring them to you.

2021 Thanksgiving G
Gift Card and Food Drive
to assist Friendship House, Christina School District and Family Promise in helping families in need.
Donations of gift cards in amounts of $25 or less to ShopRite and Acme are encouraged. Gift cards give the families the options most of us have - such as choosing real potatoes over instant or getting a store bakery or frozen pie instead of a dessert mix for which they may not have all the ingredients. Families can also choose the foods their children will eat. Since the pandemic, these agencies also have less space to store boxes of food and gift cards eliminate the need to transport heavy boxes three times.
ShopRite and Acme are the stores most convenient for most of the families served, but Zingos Turkey Feathers will also be collected.
Some parishioners may still prefer to bring boxes of food for Thanksgiving Dinner or weekend meals or baby care supplies
Gift cards, Turkey Feathers, boxes of food and baby care products must be at Resurrection by Monday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. These items may be brought to Resurrection when you come to Sunday Mass or during regular office hours, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you have questions, contact Linda Malm at 267-879-2591 or malmll@yahoo.com.
UPDATE ON EDR SANDWICH MINISTRY
Sandwiches…sandwiches…sandwiches. Since last November, we have delivered more than 3,000 hearty, healthy, and delicious sandwiches to Emmanuel Dining Room!
A huge “thank you” goes out to all of the Resurrection parishioners who so eagerly embraced the call to a new social concerns ministry with their usual commitment, generosity, and open hearts.
Because of the on-going pandemic, EDR continues to need our support into the foreseeable future. Please sign up on sign-up genius whenever you may be able. And if some month, the sign-up is filled and you would like to make sandwiches for that month, please just follow the directions at the beginning of the sign-up genius site. Extra sandwiches are always welcomed and put to good use.
Our next sandwich delivery date is Wednesday, November 17. If you have any questions, please call Sue Dagenais at 302-234-1495. Thank you…thank you…thank you!
THANK YOU FROM
TABLE OF PLENTY OUTREACH To Resurrection Parish
We would like to send a huge THANK YOU to all of the gardeners who provided us with such a generous bounty this year. Your green thumbs made a huge impact on our community by providing healthy options for the many families we serve each week at Table of Plenty. In addition, your non-perishable food donations are greatly appreciated and go right back out into the community. We're all stronger when we work together and your assistance goes a long way towards reducing the inequities in our area. Please feel free to stop by any time and visit us.
