General 1
The Ethernet-based DSL operator product consists of an access to the Metro Ethernet network owned by TeliaSonera Finland Oyj (here after TSF), an ADSL/G.SHDSL subscription, and the connection between them. The connection enables both a subscription group-specific VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) and a subscription-specific VLAN from the access point of the Metro Ethernet core network to the ADSL/G.SHDSL subscription. In the DSL operator product Fiber solution, a subscription group-specific VLAN connection.
The Ethernet network interface of the DSL operator product is a 1 Gbit/s (or a 100 Mbit/s, new sales ceased) optical single-mode interface to TSF’s Metro Ethernet core network.
The Ethernet DSL operator product is implemented with the ADSL or G.SHDSL technology. The DSL operator product Fiber is implemented with the ADSL or Ethernet technology. The available transmission rate classes in accordance with the valid price list.
Confidentiality and immaterial rights:
The information contained in this document is confidential, and so are all documents, schemes, quotations, technical descriptions and clarifications related to the customer’s service agreement. The customer is not entitled to disclose the information to a third party.
The customer has the right to make the information available to its staff members only to the extent necessary for conducting negotiations and delivering the service. The customer shall inform its staff members receiving confidential information of any obligations under this agreement.
TeliaSonera Finland Oyj (hereafter TSF) reserves all rights to the confidential information made available, and the customer has no right to exploit the information, without a separate written
agreement, for any other purposes than those directly related to the evaluation, delivery and use of the service in accordance with the service description.
The information content or statements of this documents concerning the suitability, speed or reliability of TSF’s domestic network capacity cannot be considered binding but should be determined separately between TSF and the customer. TSF is not responsible for any errors in this document, nor for any direct or indirect damage (including financial losses) that may result from the use of this document or the information disclosed in it.

Parallel line A frequency band the bandwidth of which is more than 20 KHz, separated from the subscriber line of the phone network with the help of technical equipment. One and the same subscriber line can be used for both voice and for ADSL access.

Service solution 2.2
The Ethernet-based DSL operator product consists of an access to the Metro Ethernet network owned by TeliaSonera Finland Oyj (hereafter TSF), an ADSL/G.SHDSL subscription, and the connection between them. The connection enables both a subscription group-specific VLAN and a subscription-specific VLAN from the access point of the Metro Ethernet core network to the ADSL/G.SHDSL subscription.
The Ethernet network interface of the DSL operator product is a 1 Gbit/s optical single-mode interface to TSF’s Metro Ethernet core network. The Ethernet network interface can be obtained from the named equipment shelter per each service area (appendix 2). The Ethernet network interface can be delivered to a TSF equipment shelter or to the operator customer’s premises by means of a TSF’s Metro Ethernet product.
The ADSL subscription includes the DSLAM interface. The available speeds are 512/512 Kbit/s, 1M/512 Kbit/s, 2M/512 Kbit/s, 8M Full Rate, 24M Full Rate and BestEffort.
The G.SHDSL subscription includes the DSLAM interface. The available speeds are 1/1Mbit/s, 2M/2Mbit/s, and 4M/4Mbit/s. G.SHDSL.bis speeds are 5M/5M ja 10M/10M.
The connection needed for the ADSL access can be implemented with a parallel line of a phone subscription or a subscriber line. The connection needed for the G.SHDSL access can only be implemented with a subscriber line.
Subscription group-specific VLAN
When the ADSL/G.SHDSL subscription (figure 1) is implemented using the subscription group-specific VLAN, the traffic is directed to the service provider through one and the same VLAN in the TSF-owned network. It is possible to authenticate an individual subscription with the DHCP option 82 remote ID field. The contents of the field (max 32 characters) are defined by the service provider at the time of purchase of the ADSL/G.SHDSL.
The supported protocol for the ADSL/G.SHDSL of the subscription group-specific VLAN is bridged in accordance with RFC 2684. The ADSL/G.SHDSL subscription enables the implementation of one VLAN. The maximum number of MAC addresses per ADSL/G.SHDSL is 10. The broadcast feature has been restricted.
The subscription group-specific VLAN can be delivered with the values 10-19.

Subscription-specific VLAN
When the ADSL/G.SHDSL subscription (figure 2) is implemented using the subscription-specific VLAN, the traffic is directed to the service provider through separate VLANs in the TSF-owned network. It is possible to authenticate an individual subscription with the DHCP option 82 remote ID field. The contents of the field (max 32 characters) are defined by the service provider at the time of purchase of the ADSL/G.SHDSL.
The supported protocol for the ADSL/G.SHDSL of the subscription-specific VLAN is bridged in accordance with RFC 2684. The ADSL/G.SHDSL subscription enables the implementation of one VLAN. The maximum number of MAC addresses per ADSL/G.SHDSL is 50.
The subscription-specific VLAN can be delivered with the values 20-4094.

DSL operator product Fiber 2.3
The DSL operator product Fiber is implemented with the ADSL or Ethernet technology. The implementation method is Ethernet in case the inhouse network is cabled with category 5 or 6 (Cat 5/6) cabling. The implementation method is ADSL in case the inhouse network is cabled with conventional phone cabling, that is, category 3 (Cat 3) cabling (Figure 3.).
The implementation method of the DSL operator product Fiber is Ethernet in case the access link is an optical local loop fibre (one single-mode fiber) from TSF’s equipment shelter (Figure 4.).

The DSL operator product Fiber is implemented using a subscription group-specific VLAN, the traffic is directed to the service provider through one and the same VLAN in the TSF-owned network. It is possible to authenticate an individual subscription with the DHCP option 82 remote ID field. The contents of the field (max 32 characters) are defined by the service provider at the time of purchase of the ODSL.
The supported protocol for the ODSL of the subscription group-specific VLAN is bridged in
accordance with RFC 2684. The ODSL subscription enables the implementation of one VLAN. The maximum number of MAC addresses per ODSL is 10. The broadcast feature has been restricted. It is not allowed to share the capacity of the access with a third party.
The subscription group-specific VLAN can be delivered with the values 10-19. Up to 80 devices (switch/Dslam) can be connected to one group VLAN.
L2 core transfer service 2.4
The L2 core transfer service is used, when the Ethernet network interface of the service provider is not located in the same Metro Ethernet service area as the ADSL/G.SHDSL/DSL operator product Fiber subscription. The service is automatically added to the order, and it is subject to a separate charge.
Customer-premises equipment (CPE) 2.5
The ADSL/G.SHDSL customer-premises equipments (CPEs) tested by TSF have been listed in appendix 3. Different software versions may cause compatibility problems. The end user’s CPE is not included in the DSL operator product. The DSLAM and the ADSL/G.SHDSL CPE use the VPI/VCI value 0/100.
IP addresses 2.6
It is the service provider’s responsibility to order, manage, and maintain the IP addresses in its use.
Defaults and restrictions of the service 2.7
The availability and feasibility of the service must be confirmed from TSF. TSF retains the right to restrict the speed per DSLAM to a maximum of 1M/512 Kbit/s. Sharing connection with third parties is not permitted (using switches etc to share port capacity is not allowed).
Subscriber line 2.8
The subscriber line can be rented from TSF or some other operator or the customer’s own connection can be used. If an ADSL/G.SHDSL subscription is connected to a non-TSF subscriber line, the
customer is responsible for ensuring that the subscriber line is suitable for such use.
TSF’s subscriber lines are delivered and charged separately according to the valid service description and price list. TSF’s subscriber lines are terminated to a house MDF; connections to internal networks and in-house cabling work are subject to a separate charge.

The basic SLA (Service Level Agreement) level of Ethernet network interface is minimum maintenance. The other maintenance levels available are Standard and Premium.

Order and delivery procedure 3
Ordering the Ethernet network interface 3.1
Separate order forms are available for ordering of the Metro Ethernet network interface. The form is submitted to [email protected].
TSF sends a written order confirmation within five workdays.
Ethernet network interface order should contain at least the following data: Service provider data (company’s name, address, and business ID)
-Billing data (billing address and phone number)
-Delivery address for the Ethernet network interface
-Municipality in which the Metro Ethernet access point is located
-Fibre pair information, if the fibre connection is not delivered by TSF
-Information on the provider of the fibre connection
-Technical contact person.
-Ordering the ADSL/G.SHDSL/DSL operator product Fiber 3.2
The ADSL/G.SHDSL/DSL operator product Fiber is ordered from https://operaattorit.sonera.fi. TSF confirms the order within five workdays.
An ADSL/G.SHDSL/DSL operator product Fiber order should contain at least the following data: TSF’s code for the Ethernet network interface
-Service provider data (company’s name and address)
-Billing data (billing address and phone number)
-Addresses of delivery
-Contact person at the site of installation (name, address, and phone number)
-ADSL/G.SHDSL/DSL operator product Fiber speed
-The provider of the subscriber line. TSF specifies the points of connection for the connection cable.
-Name of the ADSL/G.SHDSL/DSL operator product Fiber customer
-The subscription-specific/subscription group-specific VLAN value of the ADSL/G.SHDSL, the
-subscription group-specific VLAN value of the DSL operator product Fiber Data entered in the DHCP option 82 field.
-Delivery 3.3
The target delivery time for the Ethernet network interface is four weeks from approved written order. The target delivery time for the ADSL/G.SHDSL/DSL operator product Fiber access is two weeks from approved written order.
The delivery time starts when TSF has pair information on the subscriber line at its disposal.
Delivery Terms 3.4
The products are delivered in accordance with the “General Delivery Terms for Telecommunications Operators concerning Leased Lines and Subscriber Lines”, valid at TeliaSonera Finland Oyj at the given time.
Availability management 4
The service interruptions (maintenance windows) for the DSL operator product are on Mondays at 00.00-04.00.
TSF reserves the right to carry out network maintenance and alteration work also at other times. TSF aims at minimizing the inconvenience caused to customers by network maintenance and alteration work.
Maintenance and monitoring 4.1
Maintenance and monitoring are carried out in accordance with the “General Delivery Terms for Telecommunications Operators concerning Leased Lines and Subscriber Lines”, valid at TeliaSonera Finland Oyj at any given time.
Problem management 4.2
Fault repair starts when the service provider submits a fault notice. Fault notices can be submitted by phone, fax, or email.
