iPad Kiosk Overview

iPad kiosks are now used in a variety of industry ranging from hospitality to retail, healthcare, and restaurant. Creating secure tablet-based solutions is a difficult challenge for most businesses, which is why Thinix has developed the Thinix Managed Service program to offer turnkey iPad kiosk solutions for a variety of industry.

Premium Freestanding iPad Kiosk

Featuring a heavy-duty, non-tip base and a large, lockable body with enough room for battery systems, voltage converters, routers, and branding, the standalone is designed to be the perfect all-around, multi-purpose kiosk. Features:

 Radio-transparent tablet enclosure is durable, scratch and fingerprint-resistant.

 Restricts access to the Home button, while still allowing you private access to power, volume and the home screen without disassembly.

 Stable, non-tip steel body and base, which can be bolted to the floor through hidden lag-bolt holes for extra security.

 Tamper-proof security screws secure the tablet within the enclosure.

 Locking back panel allows easy access to cords and accessories stored within the body of the enclosure.  Additional security port at the base of the kiosk designed to accommodate a standard Kensington lock.  Compatible with our electronic alarm system for an additional layer of security.

 Secondary cable exit through the base of the kiosk for hidden AC power supply and cordless

appearance.

 Optional wheel stand base for a streamlined profile of kiosks displayed with vehicles - available at no extra charge, requires additional lead time. The freestanding model can be branded with the following options:

Premium Desktop iPad Kiosk

Featuring a heavy, tip-resistant base keeps the kiosk steady, and you can also bolt it to your counter for extra security. The head can also be angled from 20 to 50 degrees to suit your counter height.

Features:

 Stable, non-tip steel body and base, which can be bolted to the countertop through hidden lag-bolt holes for extra security.

 Secondary cable exit through the base of the kiosk for hidden AC power supply and cordless appearance.

Premium Low Profile iPad Kiosk

The Low Profile enclosure is designed to be placed on a standard-height (36”) counter, such as a retail or library checkout counter, or a tabletop when used by seated persons.

Its streamlined design will keep your iPad and tablets safe and secure with full ADA accessibility compliance. Features:

Premium Wall Mount iPad Kiosk

For projects that require a smaller footprint, we offer wall-mounted versions of our enclosures. The Wall Mount iPad kiosk can be mounted directly over a standard wall outlet or used with the POE module.

For our Wall-Mount enclosures, we offer both angled and flat wall brackets. Angled brackets are required to meet ADA compliance guidelines for interactive kiosks. Flat brackets are better suited for applications where the iPad is being used for non-interactive applications, such as digital signage.

Features:

Basic Kiosk Hardware

Thinix also offers a line of basic tablet kiosk hardware mounting options. Our Basic line are all secure, but generally feature less (or no) branding options and are lighter than the premium line. Prices on basic models are approximately 30-50% less than the premium models.

POE Module

Don't spend hundreds or thousands of dollars for electricians and permits when installing your iPad kiosks. The POE module can be installed by your IT department with no permit needed. For use with Premium or Basic kiosk hardware.

Features:

 Uses inexpensive, standard CAT-5 (Ethernet) cable to connect the Kiosk Module and Source Module. Legacy Ethernet cabling can usually be used.

 The Kiosk Module is hidden inside the kiosk enclosure (select kiosk hardware only). The Source Module is plugged into a standard 110VAC wall outlet and can be over 1,000 feet away from the kiosk.

 Fully compatible with any iPad, Android or Windows tablet that uses a USB power source.  Buy our convenient, custom-length cable (with RJ-45 plugs) or purchase it locally.

Thermal Printer with Locking Cabinet

Add a Star-Micronics thermal printer to your kiosk for efficient printing of labels, receipts and tickets. For use with the Premium Freestanding kiosk.

 Features lockable, steel cabinet with front access for easy paper loading.

 Includes Linksys router that provides Ethernet connection for the printer to connect to the tablet.  We offer two paper widths: 80mm and 112mm.
