About this Course

This two-day instructor-led training (ILT) course provides a thorough look at Intelligent Data Management Framework for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. The topics covered in the course include installation, configuration, scheduling management and troubleshooting.

Audience Profile

This course is intended for database and system administrators, who are responsible for the

administration and maintenance of the Microsoft Dynamics AX application and the Microsoft SQL Server database.

Prerequisite

Before attending this course, students must have:

 Demonstrated capabilities in Installation and Configuration for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

 Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database administration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning

Module 1: Introduction

This module examines the different aspects of data management that an enterprise must consider. We then look at how the Intelligent Data Management Framework (IDMF) for Microsoft Dynamics AX can help with making data management easier. Finally we look at the planning process for including data management as part of an implementation.

This module examines the general topologies that are supported by IDMF. Then it describes the prerequisites for installing IDMF. After that, it shows you the steps that you must follow to install IDMF and runs the post-installation tasks to set up and configure IDMF for first use.
