This intensive training programme has been specially designed to disseminate successful Israeli experience in road network development and management.
The course provides an opportunity to interact with senior road managers and professionals in the road sector from other countries and Israel The programme covers four themes, which constitute the main building blocks of road network management:

NETIVEI ISRAEL is a state-owned company, successor to Ma’atz – the Public Works Department, established in 1921 (a supplementary unit of the Ministry of Transport, which operated for decades under the Ministry of Transport) and INRC (Israel National Roads Company, 2003).

The NTIC is responsible for providing swift, far-reaching and comprehensive solutions for transport infrastructures - from strategy and planning that take into account the environment and landscape, through implementation and construction, to operations and maintenance - to ensure a transport infrastructure that is convenient, safe, innovative and advanced in order to leverage sustainable growth as a central means to obtain transport, social, demographic, urban, economic and other targets. NTIC has built and currently maintains infrastructure valued at USD 20 billion, as follows: 7,500 kilometres of paved roads, 4,300 kilometres of safety barriers, 2,200 interchanges and junctions, 122,000 signs and signposts, 9,000,000 sq.m. of landscaped areas, 1,200 bridges and tunnels, 70,000 lighting points.

The NTIC operates according to an approved multi-year plan, based on designated budgets. These are implemented through processes, procedures and systems that ensure compliance with strict quality, cost and scheduling targets, while maintaining the highest and most advanced standards of planning, construction and safety
Since its founding in 2003 as an independent company, the INRC has assumed exclusive responsibility for Israel's inter-city road system, traffic management and control, design, development and maintenance of the roads. Due to its success in these fields, the government decided that NETIVEI ISRAEL should handle the planning and construction of new railways lines, a high speed railway to Eilat, railway stations, freight terminals
etc .
The programme will present lessons from the Israeli experience focussing on the following points:
Road reforms in Israel of the last decade, their impact, effectiveness and the lessons learned.
Instruments for funding transport infrastructure and Israeli experience in roads sector. International principles of road project management experts.
Practical workshop of introduction to Road Safety Audit by leading Israeli road safety experts
Effective and efficient road maintenance management through structured approach using Asset Management System..
The proposed programme will be held at the Galilee Institute and is 12 days long, including 10 study days and 2 excursion days during the weekend. The daily schedule is comprised of approximately 8 academic hours a day, six days a week, including appropriate study tours.
The programme is delivered by experts leading the road sector in Israel and consists of lectures, discussions and workshops, case studies, technical tours and networking sessions.
The programme is specifically designed for senior executives from road and other transport infrastructure sectors, members of road boards, government officials dealing with the road sector, senior engineers and consultants working on the Transport infrastructure.

Participants who complete the programme will receive a certificate of attendance.
The participation fee is 5,810 US$ per person.
Fees include: tuition (including study tours), accommodation (based on single occupancy), full board, medical insurance, airport transfers, and weekend excursions.
