REGISTRATION

Walk-In Registration Week – B.M.C. Durfee High School will be open to

the public for in-person registration from 9 AM until 12 Noon, July 5– July 9, 2010 located in room 300a (use the West Main Entrance)

Mail-In Enclose the FULL payment. Only Money Orders or Bank Certified Checks payable to BMC Durfee High Summer School will be accepted. NO PERSONAL CHECKS OR CASH WILL

BE ACCEPTED.

Drop-off at the Nagle Auditorium after 8:45 Pick-up at the Nagle Auditorium at 1:00

Overview of BMC Durfee High School Summer Enrichment Programs

• This year the Durfee Summer School Enrichment Primary Programs include the Performing Arts Institute, Junior Chef Program, Exploratory Woodworking, Pottery/Art Studio, Kids Science-Aquarium Experiments, Summer Sports Institute, Kids Cosmetology, Computer Camp, and FRED TV.

• Each program will be offered in three 60-minute sessions, Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon between July 12-August 13.

• Between 12:00 Noon and 1:00 P.M. students will have a free lunch in the Durfee cafeteria • Students are able to select any three of the programs mentioned

• Additionally, there will be a Floor Hockey Camp, Football Camp, Basketball Camp, and Volleyball Camp offered for one week during the five-week program. Students opting to participate in any of these camps may do so in place of their primary program at no additional cost.

Summer Camp 2010

Week One: Make a Television commercial (the funnier the better) Week Two: Make a Comedy Skit for Television

Week Three: Make a Music Video (don't worry if you can't sing, we can lip sync too) Week Four: Make a Movie

Week Five: In the Television Studio (it's like going LIVE!!!)

Everything we do at FRED-TV airs on channel 17 throughout the city of Fall River, reaching over 40,000 households and also appears on our website as On-Demand Video. Feel free to check us out at www.fredtv.us. We take pride in our program and enjoy teaching kids all about television. Our students truly enjoy being at FRED-TV and we’re sure you will too.

As parents/guardians of students who have previously attended we would like to offer you a special price for early enrollment. You are able to sign your child up for one of the Sessions for an individual week for $40.00 (a savings of $10.00). This price will only be accepted on a walk-in basis on our early registration nights which will be held on

Tuesday, May 25, 2010 and Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Nagle Auditorium between the hours of 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m.

Price per one Session: $50.00 per week/per session

Price for two Sessions: $100 per week/both sessions –

Full Day 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. with Lunch Included

Early Enrollment fee per Session: $40.00 per week/per session $75.00 for both sessions

PERFORMING ARTS CLASS- MR. AND MRS. BIGELOW

Each week students will have fun building an original performance piece.

Through adding various production techniques each week, students will develop their individual and ensemble talents. Our performing arts class will explore individual talents as well as tap the creative side of the group in a scripted performance to be presented to family and friends on the last day!
