documentaries about music: Brackets, based on the texts by Samuel Beckett and William Burroughs. He then directed Theatre Musical de Paris – Chatelet with Michael Lonsdale and Georges Aperghis. The Festival of Contemporary music - La Rochelle provided him with the occasion to perform the ‘Symphonic Poem for 100 Metronomes’ by Gyorgy Ligeti.
After leaving school Philippe wrote and directed a first short film entitled Le Tourbillon de la Vie in homage to François Truffaut.
He then worked for the Museum of Modern Art and The Centre Pompidou Paris upon graduation, making videos on their many and varied exhibitions. He also took part in the launching of a cable TV channel, Planete, designing its logos and indents, then Paris Première.
