1 Field of application

This document contains additional rules and comments for the transfer of container movements to DAKOSY in EDIFACT format.

It was created in addition to the Message Implementation Guide of the SMDG (User Group for Shipping Lines and Container Terminals) for the EDIFACT messages CODECO and COARRI. Moreover it provides information to the APERAK 04B, which enables you to send confirmations to reported container movements.

The following table describes the additional rules and comments, that have to be considered, concerning the transfer of container movements to DAKOSY with the EDIFACT message CODECO or COARRI.

Within the tightened processes of the car loading the mandatory indication of the chassis-no is only required for the loading of cars, which are grouped under the term vehicles ("Positions 8701 to 8705 of the commodities chart for the foreign trade statistic").

All vehicles, which are termed as construction machinery (crane, caterpillar/ bulldozer...) in the broadest sense, are not subject to the conditions of car loading.

In case of indicating a full vehicle, additionally a gate-in for the accompanying ZAPP-Reference (can be the same as for the vehicles in case of AES) without vehicle-no is required to start the customs positioning.

Mandatory field for conventional goods;

The values “J/N” are permitted; the indicator “N” refers to the fact that the procedure must not be completed, because there are still goods left at port, which belong to the Z-number, reported as loaded. The completion of loading will primary be reported to ATLAS by transmitting the indicator of completeness = „J“. The Z-number achieves the status AAG, the export customs office/ the exporter are being informed about the completion of the MRN(s).
