3 HASC 2010 Study “Another Crossroads” recommendation: “The Secretary of Defense, the CJCS, the ServiceChiefs, and the Joint Staff should develop remedies for the shortcomings identified by the Fenty and CNA studies that targeted education, training, and modifications to relevant personnel processes. Officers should complete appropriate education before they are assigned to a joint or senior service staff”
BMD Individual Training & Education Needs Assessment(15 Apr11): “Commander, USSTRATCOM should lead, synchronize, and resource Joint Individual BMDS Education and Training for the Combatant Commanders …..”and “Designate BMDS experience and en route training requirements for BMDS billets within GCC billet descriptions” , “Service IAMD training must support and complement overarching Joint BMD training and be standardized and consistent across the Services” and “Incorporate / Synchronize Service BMD educational processes to develop standardized Joint Professional Education Requirements”

The competencies should then be linked to educational courses that can provide that competency.”
Joint Fires Executive Steering Committee plan as a result of JROCM 032-09 : “Following USJFCOM J7 work to include joint fires into JPME at the ILC level or other appropriate education courses, provide this material for inclusion into the services ILC and other education courses as determined by the services” and “Explore
opportunities to develop a distance learning program delivering joint fires training using individual distance learning and scheduled web seminars. Using a platform such as JKO or inclusion in select PME course, this training would be focused at the E-7 to O-3 service member involved in joint fires”

JIT JMO/GAO Study: Individuals assigned to joint intelligence billets often lack the joint education, intelligence functional training, and/or joint experience necessary to perform their duties, thereby
negatively affecting the operational readiness of the joint organizations to which they have been assigned. Joint Information Operations Force Optimization Study (31 August 2010 ): Develop a force of adequately trained and educated Joint IO professionals SECDEF Memo (Jan 25, 2011): …the CJCS will reorganize joint force IO development and management by assigning proponency for joint IO to the joint Staff. Cyberspace Training Initiative: Joint Cyberspace Training and Certification Standards (JCT&CS) signed on
16 February 2012. Is the first joint cyber training framework that provides an operationally relevant and holistic approach for building a world-class cyber workforce through the use of standards, procedures and guidelines.
Joint & Coalition Operational Analysis Decade of War Study (8 June 2012 ): “Educate leaders on the importance of conducting assessments based on information, intelligence….”, “Update education and training [by] incorporat[ing] key lessons from the past decade regarding non-conventional warfare into education and training”, “Continue to develop innovative training and education approaches that enhance individual, unit, and leader preparation for civil-military team transition environments” and “Promote and improve incorporation of interagency partners into training and education to increase effectiveness of USG efforts and build relationships within the interagency”
