If you're passionate about making a difference and love interacting with young people then teaching could be for you. It's not an easy job, I wouldn't want to pretend that it is, but the rewards are tremendous. There are many ways to become a teacher, having a good degree in your subject area is important, as is previous experience of working with children, however there are many routes into teaching from the Schools Direct programme to Troops to Teachers. If you want it badly enough you will find a way to get there.
Becoming a teacher is one of the best decisions I have ever made, it's what I want to do for the rest of my life.
