SAS Cargo charges a fee for issuing a Cargo Charges Correction Advice (CCA) to correct the charges and/or the method of payment on an Air Waybill after the Air Waybill has been tendered to SAS Cargo.

Surcharge

Security has always been a top priority at SAS Cargo.

In recent years though, escalating terrorist activity around the world, and all the new legislation linked to this, has forced transport companies everywhere to enhance safety precautions even further.

SAS Cargo has made extensive investments in terminals, technical equipment, including advanced X-ray machines, equipment and video surveillance systems, in order to ensure the safety & security of both passenger and airfreight traffic.

To partly cover these increased costs, SAS Cargo and other airlines have been forced to add security charges to their freight charge. 1st_{of January 2015 SAS Cargo introduced}

In Hong Kong, SAS Cargo has a terminal

handling charge. AAT: MIN.: HKD 40, or HKD 1.205 per kilo

(prepack), HKD 1.35 per kilo (bulk)

XB Screening For all type of shipments a screening fee can be

applied due to local regulations.

The fee is applicable when x-ray and/or any other TSA accepted screening measure is applied.

The fee will automatically be triggered by the special handling code “USF”.

From USA (screened shipments)

We only accept screened shipments from TSA-approved Certified Cargo Screening Facilities (CCSF) or Indirect Air Carriers authorized to tender CCSF screened cargo under the TSA Model Security Program (MSP).

Agents must be able to provide SAS Cargo with evidence of TSA-compliance/approved certified screening Credentials.

From USA (unscreened shipments)

We will continue to accept unscreened freight from other Indirect Air Carriers. (IAC), as well as certain other type of shipments, i.e. AVIs and from “Known Shippers”. Acceptance of unscreened shipments will be subject to the fee listed.

For all shipments from FR and ES (PMI) the rules are:
