Creating Simple List

• Go to Microsoft Dynamics menu >> Tools >> SmartList Builder >> Navigation List Builder • Enter unique ID & name for list

Creating Simple List

• Click + sign to add table

• Select Microsoft Dynamics GP Table

• Select Microsoft Dynamics GP as Product • Select Purchasing as Series

• Select PM Vendor Master File as Table • Leave Vendor ID as Key Field

• Click Save

o Display - Field will appear as column in list

• Scroll down to see new list & click on it

• Click Preview button to move fields to different columns for better display

Multiple Tables

Joined tables

 Inner (one-to-one record match between two tables)  Left outer (all records from first table with matching

records from joined table)

Matched tables─combine work, open & historical versions

Always pick the many side before the one side

Example - Select Sales Line Items & then add Sales Header

Field Options

Used to display data in columns

 String formats–SSN, phone number, other  Date formats

 Number formats–symbols, decimal places, negative

values

 Used for restricting data

Calculated Fields

 Create additional fields instead of exporting to Excel to create calculations

 Use simple expressions, such as “Field1” or “Field2”  Use Transact SQL, such as case statements
