SmartList Builder GP 2010 or higher

Creating Simple List
• Go to Microsoft Dynamics menu >> Tools >> SmartList Builder >> Navigation List Builder • Enter unique ID & name for list
Creating Simple List
• Click + sign to add table
• Select Microsoft Dynamics GP Table
• Select Microsoft Dynamics GP as Product • Select Purchasing as Series
• Select PM Vendor Master File as Table • Leave Vendor ID as Key Field
• Click Save

o Display - Field will appear as column in list

• Scroll down to see new list & click on it
Setting Up Preview
• Click Preview button to move fields to different columns for better display
Multiple Tables
Joined tables
Inner (one-to-one record match between two tables) Left outer (all records from first table with matching
records from joined table)
Matched tables─combine work, open & historical versions
Always pick the many side before the one side
Example - Select Sales Line Items & then add Sales Header
Field Options
Used to display data in columns
String formats–SSN, phone number, other Date formats
Number formats–symbols, decimal places, negative

Create additional fields instead of exporting to Excel to create calculations
