Dance Age Groups

2 – 4years Tiny Tots Before primary school 5 – 7years Juniors Kindergarten – Year 2 8 – 11years Intermediates Year 3 – Year 5/6

11 – 14years Preteens Year 6/7 - 9

14 – 18years Teens Year 9 – Year 12

18yrs & over Adults

So Many Classes to Choose from! Team Dance & Performing Arts offer classes in the following styles:

Dance: Jazz / Tap / Ballet / Hiphop / Lyrical & Contemporary / Broadway / Musical Theatre / Pointe / Transition to Pointe / Tiny tots / Boys Only All dance groups perform as a team at the end of year concert. All students are required to wear studio uniform to class and purchase an end of year concert costume per dance class. All classes run to the school term.

Tiny Tots: Our youngest dancers from 2yrs old in tiny movers (combination of jazz, ballet, a touch of hiphop & music awareness), tiny tap (the noisy one!), tiny tumble (basic acrobatic/tumble), tiny cheer teams from 3yrs. Fun competition teams are also available starting at 3yrs old.

Boys Only: Boys are welcome in all classes – but these are just for them - Boys Only hiphop & Boys Only Tumble available. Cheer Fun / Tumble Fun: Non-competitive, fun based learning in cheerleading and tumble/acrobatics.

Conditioning Classes: To increase flexibility and strength. These classes are open age and cater towards the group needs, following the RADAR program Ballet Exam Classes: Australian Teachers of Dance (ATOD) from test 1 (beginner) through to Silver Medal (Teen). We can help select your dancers grade. Tap Exam Classes: Glenn Wood Tap (GWT) from grade 1 (beginner/junior) through to Grade 9 (Teen). We can help select your dancers grade.

Showteams: Competitive Dance Troupes; are available to all interested students. To be involved in a competition team, dancer must attend the ‘Team Placement Day’ on Saturday 30th January. See flyer for individual times. Showteams require an additional commitment to competitions throughout the

year, entry fees and costume purchases. All showteam dancers must do a minimum of 3 dance classes in their age group including ballet. Hiphop Crews: Hiphop crews compete at both dance and cheer competitions throughout the year. There are 3 crews available; to be involved in a competition team, dancer must attend the ‘Team Placement Day” on Saturday 30th January. See flyer for individual times. These crews require additional

commitment to competitions throughout the year, entry fees and costume purchases. All crew members must participate in age group hiphop classes as well.

Cheerleading & Pom Teams: Competitive Cheer Teams from 3years old to adults, ranging from Novice to Level 2, to be involved in a competition team, dancer must attend the ‘Team Placement Day” on Sunday 31st January. See flyer for individual times. These teams require additional commitment to competitions throughout the year, entry fees and cheer uniform purchase. All competitive cheerleaders must attend a tumble class as well as their cheer class. Competitive Pom dancers must also attend a jazz class as well.

Cheerability: A one-hour class cheerleading class for students with special needs. Jump, dance, tumble & stunt with our passionate coaches. See Cheerability flyer for additional information. Cheerability will perform 4 times throughout the year & require a cheer uniform.

Adults Classes: For fun, fitness and new skills join Hiphop, Adults POM Team and/or Adults Cheer Team.

Solos: For individual dancers to learn solo dance routines for competitions. All soloists must be enrolled in at least 3 group classes, including the style of the solos they receive. Solos must compete throughout the year. See following schedule of available times. This is a weekly set class.

Duo/Trio: Competitive teams of 2 or 3 to learn routines to compete. If interested please tick on your registration form under ‘expression of interest’ and we will team you up with a dance partner/s.

Stunt Team: Small competitive team of 4 to 5 cheerleaders with a focus on stunt work and technique only. These will be added in week 5, term one. Further information will be sent out to cheerleaders in early term one.

Room Hire: This is available on Saturday mornings for current students for independent practice of their solos/duos or dance work. This must be booked in and paid for prior to the day of use. No teachers are assisting, this is for the studio space only.

Team Dance Uniform

All Students are required to wear Team Dance uniform to

their classes and Team Dance events / performances.

Students are required to have at least one uniform item

and can match with any black dance wear. Uniform items

are sold from the studio.

Dance shoes are required for each class; jazz shoes for jazz

classes, tap shoes for tap classes and so on. All shoes needed

are available for purchase for the studio.

Terms and Conditions of Enrolment

I hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless Team Dance, its owners, members, advisors, and all employees and agents of these parties from all liabilities, suits, claims and/or demands of any kind or nature, legal or financial, whether caused in any way by the negligence or not, arising from the participation in and observation of any Team Dance activity, for injuries to any person or property, whether on or off the premises. The student/participant named above does voluntarily participate in any and all Team Dance activities and that the student/participant and I understand that risks are inherent to and from participation and involvement with Team Dance and its various formal and informal activities. This activities include, but are not limited to dance, cheer, tumble, acrobatics, musical theatre and singing. I give Team Dance permission to publish photos of the student/participate.

I understand that all enrolled classes must be paid for by week 2 of each term. Payments can be made online or at the studio reception desk, see your emailed account statement for online payment details. Two weeks notice, in writing by filling out an enrolment amendment form, is required for the cancellation of any enrolment. Any delay in cancellation requires full payment of the enrolled classes. I

understand additional costs, including but limited to compulsory class uniforms, shoes, dance costumes and cheer uniforms.
