Discover Hawaii

Hawaii is like no other place on earth. It has got one of the world's most active volcanoes and the world's tallest sea mountain. Modern surfing started in Hawaii. Hawaii is one of the youngest places in the world and the youngest state in the USA.

The Islands

There are six major islands in Hawaii. Kauai is the oldest island. You'll find each island offers its own adventures, activities and sights. Oahu island is where most Hawaiians live and work. Watch professional surfers, relive American history in the museums of Pearl Harbor, or take a surfing lesson on Waikiki Beach. Maui is the second largest island and has some of the best beaches in the world. The waters off Maui are also some of the best places in the world to see whales in the winter. Hawaii’s Big Island is larger than all of the other islands combined. It has got beaches, snow-covered mountains, waterfalls, rainforests and Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes.

Travel Information

Honolulu International Airport (HNL) is Hawaii's major airport. Finding accommodation in Hawaii is easy; there is something for everyone from cheap budget hotels to expensive spa resorts. The best way to travel around Hawaii is by car but there are also bus tours and there are boat trips to different islands.
