Session overview:
How to Stream Digital TV signals with work quality?
To answer this question, we invited professionals who performed related to transmission area of Digital TV ISDB-T, both in SFN as MFN, including accessories for the feasibility of transmission systems like encoders, playouts, multiplexers, STLs, Antennas and software for predicting coverage.
Powerlight Series and Antenna to Support Future TV Technologies Speaker: Andre J Skalina - Dielectric
The presentation will be in two parts:
First part: The new low power product line – Powerlite – was developed especially for budget conscious customer with price proportional to the power levels. This product line was developed using techniques involved to design high power products thus maintaining the reliability in economic package. The paper will present the full matrix of products that can be used with the emphasis on performance. Presentation will concentrate on different ways to employ the products within this new product line to configure the most cost effective system, especially for multichannel system including a combiner sized to handle low powers.
Second part: The need for higher data rates and more channel capacity drives new TV transmission technologies. The new TV transmission technology drives new components, one of them, and often neglected to consider, is the antenna. This paper investigates the new antenna technology to deliver improved noise margins by implementing spatial or polarization diversity with a high power broadcast system. Finally, providing higher data rates through signal saturation will be discussed. This type of service will require specially designed antennas that are capable of raising the signal strength over a long range. An introduction to the criteria and design techniques for these special antennas will be presented.

GLOBAL CONTRIBUTION EVS; FIFA - WORLD CUP - BRAZIL 2014 Speaker: Benjamin Mariage - EVS
The challenge of simultaneously recording 35 different camera angles inside a stadium, playing out in slow-motion, super slow and hyper slow, immediately after the important moves happened, monitoring, manage, editing, inserting graphics, creating lists, compile best moments, greatest emotions, all details, add news captured outside the stadium, manage, and exhibit them all in different playlists generating up to 10 different signals simultaneously for IBC the central in Rio de Janeiro per game from two hours before the matches, during matches and 40 minutes following the end.
To receive 10 distinct signals at IBC, record them, producing the final product to distribute to all companies licensed to transmit over the world and also creating and distributing at the same time 6 signals "live streaming" and the main angles of each good move (20 in all) to be distributed to the Multi-camera App reaching the user within one minute after it has occurred so he can watch on your mobile angles that were not aired.
And also at IBC store in the big Media Server all 10 signals from each match, pre and post production, material captured by ENG 32 teams (one for each selection), producing material in each host city, edited material for outreach and available for all companies licensed to access either Browsing inside IBC and Browsing inside their offices in their countries through Web Browser specially designed for this type of events.
How were structured, organized and performed all these operations and their transmissions in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil is what EVS wants to show at SET EXPO 2014 - Conference.

Internet Landmark civil. Network Neutrality. Mod.: Oripede Cilento – SET/ NIC.br Session overview:
Internet Landmark civil. Network Neutrality and challenges to prevent discrimination multimedia services on the Internet.
One of the most relevant points of the Civil Framework of the Internet in Brazil, signed into Law 12,965 is Article 9, which deals with network neutrality. The central concept of neutrality is to isonomic treatment of data traffic from the suppliers of Internet traffic (ISP).
Broadband providers, regulators want to authorize the practice of charging additional fees to prioritize certain Internet services (audio and video, for example) at the expense of other traffic. Thus, the neutrality of the user-side network would be compromised by manipulation and arbitrary monetizing your traffic on broadband connection. The Civil Marco seeks to prevent such discriminatory and arbitrary practices whose costs, monetary and quality of service, always end up burdening the end user. In this session we intend to clarify the concepts of net neutrality, the challenges to build relevant legislation and regulation, which would be the "technical exceptions" provided by law and with the
position of the main actors involved.

More and more consumers watch television connected to one or more screens simultaneously. According to research released by Google Brazil in 2013, the phenomenon of second screen already reached and established people habits and customs: about 30 million Brazilians use three screens at the same time, daily.
This new behavior of Brazilians brings challenges and opportunities for broadcasters who need to create coherent strategies to engage viewers.
