This is a summary of cover highlighting the main features and benefits as well as the general conditions and exclusions of this Policy provided by VFM Cover Select. Full terms and conditions can be found in the VFM Cover Select Policy booklet that will be provided when you purchase your Policy or at any time on request. You will also receive a Policy Schedule showing the specific details of your Policy and the cover(s) you have selected. It is important that you read the Policy documents carefully when you receive them. Household Insurance Information

You must take reasonable care to provide complete and accurate answers to the questions we ask when you take out, make changes to and renew your insurance. If you have misrepresented any facts or circumstances which might affect our decision to provide insurance or the terms of that insurance, or you have made a false claim, we may refuse to pay a claim or treat this insurance as though it had never existed.

We strongly advise our customers to review their policy each year to ensure they have adequate cover in place.

Your right to cancel the policy

If you decide that for any reason, this policy does not meet your insurance needs then please return it to your agent within 14 days of issue. On the condition that no claims have been made or are pending, you will be entitled to a pro-rata return of premium.

If you wish to cancel your policy after 14 days, on the condition that no claims have been made or are pending, you will be entitled to a pro-rata return of premium and you may be charged a cancellation fee by Policy Expert. If you have made a claim on this policy there will be no refund.

If you need to make a claim

Claims will be handled by Trinity Claims at the address shown in your policy booklet. Should you wish to claim under your VFM Cover Select policy you should call the Trinity Claims Helpline on 0845 000 1213 or by submitting a claim in writing as soon as possible and within 30 days of the event. You must give Trinity Claims any information or help that they may reasonably ask for. You must not settle, reject, negotiate or agree to pay any claim

without their written permission. Full details of how to claim are included in the policy booklet.

It is the intention to give you the best possible service but if you do have any questions or concerns about this insurance or the handling of a claim you should follow the Complaints Procedure below. Please ensure your policy number is quoted in all correspondence to assist a quick and efficient response.

If we have provided you with our final response and you remain dissatisfied, you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). The FOS is an independent body that can arbitrate on complaints after we have provided you with written confirmation that our internal complaints procedure has been exhausted.

UK General Insurance (Ireland) Limited is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme, if they cannot meet their obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. Most insurance contracts are covered for 90% of the claim.
