Please Listen and Wait for Instructions

● We realize that many of you may have your

own iPad, but this iPad will be set up

differently

● Don’t be a show off! Wait for Instruction!

● If you mess up any step you may have to

start over

Wake Up your iPad

● Press the Home Button

● If your iPad is not

showing this screen it

may need to be reset

● Swipe your finger to the

right on the iPad screen

Connect to APS Wireless

● Screen will have a

message stating “iPad

is not Set Up”

APS Device Enrollment Program (DEP)

● If you entered your username and password correctly you will see this screen.

● If you do not see this screen, go Back and try your

username and password

again. You may find that it is necessary to do this several times.

Arlington Public Schools will automatically configure your iPad.

Getting Connected to our MDM System

● Our Mobile Device

Management (MDM)

system is called

Airwatch

● Select “Get Started”

Connecting to Airwatch

● Now that your iPad has

successfully connected to our MDM system you will have two pages of apps. Swipe over to the 2nd page and look for the App called Airwatch. Select it. ● If you do not see Airwatch,

select Deployment.

Installing the AirWatch MDM Agent

● Look in the right

column for Airwatch

MDM Agent and

press the Install

button next to it.

● You should now get a

pop-up window

asking you to confirm

the installation of the

MDM Agent. Select

Install.

● Another pop-window

will appear asking for

you to Sign In.

● Select Sign In.

● Thank you for being

patient.

Sign in with your Apple ID

● Your Apple ID for

Arlington Public Schools

is Student [email protected]

● Your Apple ID password

was either given to you

by your parent or it is

Kenmore24.

● The password is case sensitive (Teacher, please explain) ● The password is at least eight characters and contains at

least one number

Configuring Airwatch

● If you are not already on the

home screen of your iPad, press the home button

● Select Airwatch

● More pop-up windows are

coming. Don’t click them yet. Thank you for being patient.

Log into Airwatch

● When trying to log into Airwatch use your StudentVue information ● Username: Student ID only

● Password: StudentVue password ● More pop-up windows are coming.

Apps are now installing

● You can close the App Store, or whatever else may be on the screen, and go to your home screen

● You will notice that you now have more apps on the 2nd screen

Setting Up Location Services

● Location services allows us to help find your device when it is lost.

● If your iPad is ever missing, let your teacher and/or the main office know immediately.

Airwatch Location Services

● Airwatch needs to always have Location Services on to deliver apps to your device at school, home, or wherever you have Internet access.

● Select Airwatch from the Location Services menu.

Setting up your iTunes Preferences

● To have apps and books pushed out to you by the school or your teachers we need to change some settings on the iPad

● Select iTunes & App Store from the Settings menu
